When in Quebec City, this is the area to find a hotel or fine restaurant. Browse the shops and learn the history of this beautiful city. A funicular or long stairway takes you down to the lower town. We were there during a bitterly cold...More

We had a great time staying here, strolling, eating, relaxing and shopping here this winter. I would say it might be busier in the summer(?) but at least for us this was a pretty great place to spend a couple days.

Nice area to walk around and shop. We spent quite a bit of time going into all of the shops and walking around this area. It is a must see!

We walked and shopped and ducked into a few places to snack. We found the shops to be somewhat different and prices pretty good for American $. We only spent about 2-3 hours but enjoyed our time looking and shopping!

It’s hard to say whether Upper Old Town or Lower Town is better—but thanks to the funicular, you can easily see them both. Upper Town has perhaps the greater variety, with somewhat fewer shops but more of other things. Terrasse Dufferin, the central square of...More

If you stay in this section of Quebec, you will not need transportation to see Old Quebec as everything is within walking distance. You can walk to everything, the stores, restaurants, churches, plazas, even to the lower part of Old Quebec. So much to see...More

All of the Old part of Québec city (Le Vieux-Québec) is beautiful. The Upper town is a nice place to walk, admire the architecture and a lot of shops, good for window shopping!

We walked around the upper and lower town but took a city tour with a tour company to see where we wanted to spend more time. You can call in the visitor centre and get plenty of information that will help you.
