Wasn’t impressed. Several artists (?) standing nears walls of art. I overheard one conversation in which the “artist” couldn’t remember his inspiration. I have seen similar “art alleys” all over the world were the art looks remarkably similar.

If you're looking for a souvenir less tacky than the usual t-shirt or mug, try coming down and meeting some local artists. You can take a piece of Quebec home with you for a reasonable price and meet the people who make the art. The church next to the street also has booths where artisans are showing off wares such as wood sculpting, ceramics and jewelry. It's really nice to be able to talk to the artists about their craft and hear about the passion they have for their art.

A street full of painters, this is a great place to pick up some original artwork to remember your trip to Quebec. Also, on the corner is a little gelato shop that is worth the stop.

Street full of artists, mainly drawing and painting. Similar to Montmartre in Paris but smaller. Nice walking.

Interessant! But the street is more an alley, very small. Lots of different art styles all representing Quebec culture and landscape.

I joined a tour from Compass Travel and I am new to the Old Quebec, as I am roaming around the area I turned on those alleys and I was surprised - it was like art gallery filled with arts and painting of the Old Quebec.

This is a great little short-cut between streets in the upper city, but is otherwise nothing special. It is lined with vendors selling touristy (and only so-so) art. It might be your thing, but it's not mine.
