Pleasant enough but great walls

Having been rebuilt distracts from the atmosphere but the walls are well worth the walk here. The gate had been well done but the road can get a bit busy

Simply have to visit. It is right in front of Parlement. Again, Québec will not deceive you, it is clean, lots of real good restaurant. Prices are fair, Place is safe and secure. Don't hesitate to walk with kids.

The only walled city north of Mexico. The city walls are distinct from the Citadel. The walls are not continuous, but the Gates are still intact at several points. Great views, and the contrast between outside and inside the gates is dramatic. Seeing these gates really emphasizes what a different world it was a few hundred years ago.

The gate is a very nice to come in the upper town. While you cross the gate, you’re going from modern town to the old town.

To marvel at the superb construction close up requires a walking visit to this site and should be on everyones itinerary. Miss this location and you can not say you have seen it all. Great photo op too.

This is the main gate that leads into Upper Town. You can go through it, and you can also go up on top of it for a great view of the city. It's beautifully preserved, and just going through it is like stepping out of a time machine into another century.

The restoration and preservation of the wall, and all the surrounding buildings is spectacular, just to walk around all the streets is so moving. The people of Quebec City are fabulous, friendly, and no need to worry if you don't speak french, mostly all are bilingual french and english

We saw St. Louis Gate on our way to the Plains of Abraham after we left the Parliament Building. The St. Louis Gate is one of the four surviving gates in the Quebec City wall ramparts.
