Buy tickets in advance online and ride the express elevator to the 31st floor. Check in and begin your self guided tour.
In each of the 4 directions for viewing there are wall displays with historical information and computer kiosks to provide information on the scenes and buildings below. There are also videos showing winter activities in Quebec and an aerial view of Old Quebec.

Impressive views and extremely helpful and enthusiastic staff. Melody answered all of our questions and made the visit exceptional. This is a great way to start your trip to get a "lay of the land" before visiting the various part of Quebec City. Yes, you need to buy your tickets in advance on your phone--do it, save time, and then enjoy the fantastic view!

The view was okay, it was smoggy, but still viewable.
It’s on the 34th floor, but it was difficult to get up there. We wandered around for 10 minutes before we found security who explained we had to take the elevator and purchase tickets (which we thought were pricey for what they offered). In order to get tickets, you had to fill out a form on a Canadian computer (different keyboard). It was very confusing, the clerk was very annoying, continually chatting with another couple.
We do not recommend.

The views are certainly impressive. The windows are floor to ceiling and offer unobstructed views in all directions. Between the viewing areas there are multimedia shows which were not that impressive. Some of the historical information on the walls opposite the windows was interesting.

You have to book online and space is limited with only a certain number of visitors allowed each hour so book in advance. The view is worth the price of admission.

Very unhappy with the check in process. I had to use a computer (they only have one computer for the lines of visitors) to manually type in my Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address (twice) and then select on same computer my choice of ticket. Next I had to manually enter all my credit card information on the same computer. Hasn't this company heard of touch screens and credit card readers?

This was our first stop when we arrived in Quebec City. It was a great way to get the lay of the land.

Besides the grand views you could see from all directions, the walls are decorated with facts and figures about Quebec City, the Province and Canada. A fun visit and easy to get to and quite reasonably priced

We went on our last full day in Québec, and loved being able to look down on the places we'd visited - could see the river and dock, city walls, Citadel, Plains of Abraham, etc. It wasn't at all crowded, no wait for the elevator, well worth the price. Fun information on all the inner walls. (Mais, si vous voulez lire les phrases pour les enfants, il faut comprendre français!)

Things that are large in scale, such as the Plains of Abraham, La Citadelle, and Les Fortifications, etc., look better when they are viewed at the Observatoire de la Capitalea. At this high elevation, everything looks better at the proper perspective. You can also see how the St. Lawrence River meanders past the Old Port. Of course, it is vital that the visit is on a clear day.

A trip to the top is well worth the time and money as there is a 360 degree view of the city plus a short featuring a guy jumping off the top and sailing about town.
