On our visit to this museum (Sunday September 3rd- 2pm Tour) we were shocked to be treated with such disrespect. The receptionist was so rude, really unhelpful which makes no sense as she is working front of desk in a popular tourist location. However, the...More

We arrived just as a walking tour was leaving. We highly recommend the tour. They take you into the Monastery and give a detailed history of the building and architecture as you walk. When you are done, they leave you at the museum to go...More

This was a really nice museum, a bit weird to get into- you have to go through a church- but was really informative and had a lot of interesting information! Really nice way to spend an afternoon.

I much prefer museums where I do not have to read gobs of information at each exhibit. However, the histories were interesting, and the chapel is very beautiful. You can get a 3 museum pass for this one, Civilization, and Place Royal... definitely worth seeing...More

I was impressed by the richness of French history throughout North America, From Acadie to the Great West to Louisiana in the South. American visitors can learn a great deal about their own history since most of North America was French at a given period...More

Many travelers, including Americans and English-speaking Canadians, know little if anything about the amazing story of French-speaking North America. This museum aims to inform visitors on how large parts of North America were explored and settled by French-speaking explorers, trappers, settlers, etc. It offers a...More
