About
As soon as you step into the old part of town, you will without a shadow of a doubt fall in love with the charm of the city. As one of the oldest cities in North America, Quebec is replete with secrets that most locals have no knowledge of. I am offering to personally guide you through these well-kept secrets and into the rich history of Quebec in a humorous, fun-fact-filled manner. Believe me, you will not find another history-savvy comedian by trade offering a free tour of this kind. By experience, I know tour guides can sometimes be monotonous Debbie Downers, and that is exactly why I’ve devised this humorous historical tour! If you are planning a visit to Quebec, make sure to inquire about an authentic, one of a kind tour.

It was my first time hosting a tour group and I came across the FREE tour offered by Sam - it was a no brainer and quickly added it to our itinerary. Sam was entertaining and funny and I loved that we got to see parts of Quebec that a typical tour would have skipped over. His unique take on the city was what made our experience ten times better! Would highly recommend and can't wait to bring more groups back in the future.

Me and my family enjoyed every minute of the 2 hour walking tour with Sam. He is knowledgeable, funny, and telling secrets of the city and it’s history. I can warmly recommend to anybody to book a tour with him, if you want to get an impression of the old city within a couple hours and have fun at the same time.

The tour was a great experience overall for me for many reasons. For one, the main attractions along the way, were all very interesting and intriguing, with each site containing fascinating and rich history. Additionally, Sam was very knowledgeable and funny, explaining each and every stop in a fun way, and overall added a lot to my experience on the tour. Sam will take you to several spots that most guides won't which provided for a unique tour that I'll remember my visit by. I strongly recommend this tour for any age and is a great way to learn and explore Quebec City

We have done “free” walking tours many times in many countries and Sam’s tour is as good as any. A delightful, witty person, who truly takes pleasure in getting to know his audience; Sam is a lifetime resident of Quebec City sharing his beautiful hometown with insights that go beyond the normal tourist banter.

In addition to our own Sam Tour, we crossed paths with him on several occasions during our 4-day stay in early October, and both his 10 am and 2 pm tours appeared to always be full, so I recommend reserving ahead on-line.

Sam took us on an epic 2-hour journey through the Old City of Québec. We visited some of the classic highlights, and also some less well-known gems. Sam was excellent at crafting an interesting and amusing narrative to help bring history to life.

As cruise ship employees, we have been to Québec City a million times. This time we brought our parents for the first time. Sam made the experience unforgettable, and really made sure to include some fascinating stops that we had never visited before.

We highly recommend Sam for your excursion through one of Canada’s most beautiful and diverting destinations.

My daughter and I had the pleasure of doing the walking tour with Sam earlier today and it was TRULY the highlight of our trip to Quebec City.

Sam was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and made us laugh while we learned about this amazing place. You can tell that he has a passion for his home city and he truly enjoys sharing his knowledge with visitors.

If you are looking for an informative and humorous way to learn about Quebec City, and it’s history, I urge you to book your tour with no one other than Sam. You will NOT be disappointed and the time will fly by!

As this is a free tour, there is no fee but tips are welcomed. Please respect this and contribute accordingly. Sam has a special way of communicating and connecting with people and this makes him the fantastic tour guide that he is. It was a privilege and a pleasure to spend the morning with him. Well done Sam!!

It was the perfect way to start our trip. Sam is so pleasant and such an amazing tour guide! It was such a nice way to see and learn about old Quebec City and he really brought it to life. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and has some great jokes - would highly recommend his tour to anyone and everyone visiting the city!

He likes craft beer so bring him a can or two of your favourite/local beer if you feel so
inclined!

Thanks for being so great, Sam!

A very fun and informative tour! It was over 20 people but Samuel made sure everyone could hear and patiently answered all questions. After the 2 hour tour, he stayed on to answer even more questions about things to see outside the city, on our way to Montreal, restaurants, etc. You end in the lower part of the old town, where there are lots of galleries and small restaurants. You either walk back up or pay $4 for the funicular to the top. A great experience, which he said he does all year round.

Sam gave us a very interesting tour of Quebec City starting in front of the parliament buildings and ending in lower town. He covered a lot of history both old and more recent. The tour lasted almost 2 hours.

I really enjoyed a walking tour with Sam. He is a very knowledgeable and funny tour guide. I have learned a lot about Quebec City, and there were many interesting facts mentioned that I didn't hear from anyone else before. Sam also showed us great spots for the photos and gave recommendations on what else could be done while visiting Quebec City. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who visits Quebec City and wants to learn more about this fantastic city!
