Stopped for a tasting on our way to the border. Despite off & on rain, the experience was delightful. The family and the wines were very enjoyable! Highly recommend for a low-key but rewarding visit!

For two years in a row, we went to this wonderful winery for our twins birthday. Then the pandemic hit and we couldn't go. We saved the last bottle of their delicious wine until we knew we were going again - and just drank it because we are coming up next month! Yay! Why did we save the bottle until now? Well, seeing it on the wine rack gave such a great reminder of good times! And the hope of good times to come! Fun as a family together, feeling so welcomed in to experience this family winery who's yummy wines are surpassed only by the friendliness and joy of the owners!

Guide Sara did a wonderful job giving the tour in both French and English to accommodate us and the couple that went on the tour with us. The wine was great and it was wonderful to learn how to taste and pair the different types ! A fun and educational experience!

We loved our visit here. The staff is energetic and fun. The food and wine pairing is wonderful - lots of local foods. And the wines were amazing - not to mention the sangria! Definitely worth a stop.

If you leave Quebec without experiencing the hospitality of Marco and Genevieve, you have done yourself a disservice. My wife, two daughters (6 and 11), and I visited recently and had an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. My wife enjoys wine, so we've been to many vineyards for her to sample while I usually stood on the sidelines as I was not a wine fan.

That changed after this visit - between the flavors tasted and education provided, I now can appreciate what I've missed out on for many years. Genevieve thoroughly explained not only the history of the vineyard, but also provided step-by-step instruction on how to taste wine for full effect. She guided us through many types they produce - reds, whites, rose, ports, ice wines - explaining the differences and helping us appreciate the craft, work, and heart that went into each type.

All the while, our daughters enjoyed fruit juice and drawing materials along with the jokes of Marco, who also led us all on a tour of the barrel room, bottling line, and the presses. At the end of three hours, we not only had enjoyed the wine, the view of the beautiful vineyards, and the comfortable tasting room, but had felt embraced by the friendship of Marco and Genevieve. They bring a love of family and a pride in quality to everything they do, and we are eager to visit La Halte des Pelerins again.

Practical notes: La Halte des Pelerins is about 7 minutes outside of downtown Sherbrooke and is very easy to get to. Ample signage helps, but the GPS for the address is spot on. The lower level of the tasting rooms is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, as is the outdoor seating area.

We spent an unbelievably enjoyable afternoon at this quaint, family-run winery/vineyard. We went to celebrate our twins’ 18th birthday. The owner, Genevieve, could not have been more congenial, friendly, and accommodating! We started with fantastic sangria made from their vin rouge which Genevieve informed us also included 100% fruit juice. I have never tasted a better sangria (not even in Barcelona!) Refills were plentiful while we awaited our tour. The young woman who gave us the tour was amazingly fun and informative. It’s a real treat to see the actual production area and hear stories of the successes and also tribulations that the family managed to turn to success – try Le Miracule (also in the delicious sangria!) Our tour guide continued with us through our “peche gourmand” wine tasting and pairing with a delightful array of cheeses, charcuterie, crackers, fruit and “confit d’oignon” (to-die-for onion preserves made by the sister-in-law). When you visit, be sure to ask Genevieve where her great cheeses come from. To top it off Genevieve treated us to Ice Wine to celebrate our boys’ birthday. And then even gave us another elixir of blended wines. The whole family left satiated and cheerful with red cheeks and warm hearts. Genevieve’s exuberance is contagious and you would be doing yourself a “flavor” by going to this truly-fun-in-every-way winery!!!

A unique wine tasting experience with lessons on wine making process, food pairings, wine tasting, la halte des pèlerins' history and little factory tour but much more than this what we would remember for our lives is place owner Genevieve's hospitality and warm nature. Genevieve is one of those passionate persons you meet very rare, one who's passionate about her craft and trade. She also immensely impressed us with her humour, wit and story telling. She's just a perfect host.

We felt at home while one after another wine was served to us and Genevieve told us in brief about them. She was kind to serve my kid with grape juice and also couple of extra wine tastings for my wife. When I tried to pay for extra wine, girl at cash counter didn't take money saying Genevieve told to serve so it's fine, no need to pay.

All the wine's taste was exquisite so you would love to take back some with you. Thanks for giving us a memorable experience, we would definitely love to come back someday.

We stopped in for a wine tasting and it was great, definitely the best vineyard we’ve visited. The owner was very nice and the wine was incredible (we tried them all and enjoyed every one)!

I've been wine tasting around the world and Genevieve must be the friendliest, sweetest and most humorous guide/sommelier i have met. We went in slightly late, at 430 PM but she ran us through the entire tastings, peppered with funny stories and tips for the region till 630 PM.
