Beautiful & peaceful, a great stop along the way. There is a quiet, grassy walk with art work if you have time. Lovely view of mountains & villages.

The ground is made up of 2 churches and an outdoor chapel. The stone church is over 100 years old. As soon as you arrive, you can feel the peacefulness of the place, especially if you walk through the woods to the outdoor chapel lined with stone sculptures and the Way of the Cross. You can almost forget the troubles of this world.

I will highly recommend it.

If you happened to be in the neighbourhood, you should come to appreciate the works being done in this place. The small stone church is beautifully done, At its back is the open air Sanctuary and where you can really appreciate peacefulness.

According to the website, "Due to new public health instructions, the Shrine of Beauvoir is once again closing its doors. The church, the stone and adoration chapels, the office and the store are not accessible to the public." It was disappointing to find this out, but we did manage to visit several other sanctuaries on this trip. It also means that we have another reason to return once things get back to some sort of "normal".

Just outside of town, on a hill overlooking the city and the valley, the Sanctuaire is interesting as a religious place, but what's most enjoyable for us is the very nice views and the nicely cared woods around the top of the hill.
While not a "must" when visiting Sherbrooke, it is certainly worth a stop.

Lovely views and a unique chapel built of stone. Also a walking trail.
Being neither French nor catholic, I don’t suppose I can grasp all the meaning behind this lovely site. There’s also a small store on site where you can purchase drinks, snacks, local cheeses and catholic icons.

A wonderful place to visit, I love the pathways and the gorgeous statues and monuments you come across during the walk. I recommend a visit, especially in the autumn with the beautiful leaves, and the view is breath taken.

This place is for nature lovers. One can soak in breathtaking view of Sherbrooke city and explore the lovely little trails. This place has a beautiful old stone chapel and a remarkable new one beside it. Lot to please your senses if you are especially visiting during fall time.

Very special place. Especially inside the old chapel. Dark, rocky and dank, felt like an Italian church lost in time. Lit a couple candles for special people, had a very nice tour of the place and ended up with a few jars of honey.

Can’t say I am a fan of the new chapel with the strange “advices” on the ceiling. But the old chapel was truly special and allowed me to overlook the new, larger, sterile building down the slope.
