So Interesting and Relaxing

Great place to take a coffee and sit and watch or talk to one of the attendants. Take a break and still have something to do if you want.

We go there every year. What a fun time for the grand children! They love to see the little birds! There are some pictures to take home and color and a lot of space for children to roam around. Always a stop on our list.

Informative and interesting

Not huge place and outdoors for the most part, but worth the time and small amount of effort to visit.

Tiny Jewels
Jun. 2019 • Couples
This is a small center that is full of information and houses some unique owls. They are a bit hard to see because they are so tiny but be patient and you will be rewarded! They have a high pitched squeal and are so cute! Admission is by donation. We wished we could have seen one of the owls up closer but it was hot and they were hunkered down.

Cute little spot
Aug. 2018 • Couples
This was a cute little place. I wish it had been bigger, but I understand they only have so many owls available. I did find the space very informative and I definitely would go back.

Educational and Enjoyable
Aug. 2018 • Family
We arrived here in the afternoon during feeding time and it was interesting. The owls were active and fun to watch. A fun facts area helped make this place very enjoyable and educational. A quiet place to learn something new. We had a good time.

Quiet and informative
Aug. 2018 • Couples
This is a nice, quiet park where you can slow down and appreciate Saskatchewan's natural fauna and flora. We were warmly welcomed by staff, and the set-up of the facility is easy, interesting, flexible. The written info is easy-to-read, empowering, and relevant. A highlight was getting to see the rescued ground squirrel hopping through the main office!

A Moose Jaw Hidden Gem

We visited the Centre this afternoon and found it to be a very nice educational place. The centre is dedicated to raising public awareness about Prairie Canada's endangered species, specifically the Burrowing Owl and it's habitat. The SBOIC is a non-government, non-profit organization. Their work is funded entirely through donations and grants. During the summer months, when possible, their offer guided tours. There are exhibits and many teaching aids as well as live owls that are being rehabilitated. The only admission charge is a donation. This is a wonderful place to bring the family and there are activities for the kids as well. If you time you visit to be there around 5:00 you will get to see them feed the owls.
