The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have been an integral part of Canada's historical and cultural landscape since 1873, helping to form and protect our great nation, and playing a significant role in creating the Canadian identity. Situated on the doorstep of RCMP Academy, "Depot" Division in Regina, Saskatchewan, where Mounties have trained since 1885, the RCMP Heritage Centre is appropriately located where the tradition begins. The Centre brings to life the incredible story of the RCMP and its role in the development of Canada using state of the art exhibits, multimedia technologies, and engaging programming and tours.

Toured the interpretive center for a couple of hours. This is a unique tribute to the history of the RCMP situated at their headquarters. The exhibits were life-like and there were many interactive displays including a virtual reality musical ride and a police car driving...More

Government House is free; the RCMP Heritage Centre is not. Regular admission is $10; seniors get in for $8. We saw the short video about the cadet training programme, as well as the exhibitions themselves. The RCMP appears in a favourable light, but difficult episodes,...More

We got a private tour from a personal friend and an RCMP officer. However, there were public tours leaving regularly. The 20 min film gives you some insight into the difficult training of an RCMP. Our grandchildren loved it. They got their pictures taken in...More

In Regina, Saskatchewan, you will find the RCMP training centre and heritage centre. Only $30 for a family, it was a virtual history lesson of Canada thru the eyes of the RCMP. We really enjoyed solving the crime.

If you're visiting Regina, you gotta see this, it's everything about the History of the RCMP, beautifully presented and sorted by time period from the beginning to the modern age and all the conflicts and challenges in between.
