This tour company was outstanding! With travel these day we were unsure of how it would be. We were booked for 2 nights but our flight got changed by a day. I emailed the tour and let them know and they had no problem changing our tour date. They picked us and dropped us off at our airport. We didn't know a city tour was included which was great. The actual northern lights tour each evening was outstanding. They had tripods for us to use! They helped us set up the settings on our cameras to get the best pictures. The cabin was nice and warm, they provided snacks and drinks. The guides take pictures for you and of you which was great since the cold killed all my batteries the 1st night. It was a great time!

We had such an incredible time with the northern tales team! Stayed warm by the fire with snacks and laughs. Social distance was very respected. The lights were spectacular, definitely a highlight of our time in the yukon. Mother & Daughter

We are so happy to have Northern Tales as our travel guide for our Yukon trip. Everything’s organized & timely from the airport pickup to drop off. We couldn’t ask for more of the excellent service of the guides(Taz, Werner, Tom, Angie, Samtosi(?not sure) & Erika. They’re all very nice, accommodating to our needs and knowledgeable. They’re patient and provide us with all information about the tours. One suggestion is to have the Aurora viewing a bit later, as the lights happened close to 1:00 am, so the very cool & nice Angie had willingly stayed for another hour or so. We will definitely go for Northern Tales again for our future Yukon travels and would highly recommend it to our family & friends.

My husband and I had a great tour. Everything was well organized from airport pick up to our planned excursions. Although we only saw a brief glimpse of the lights over the five nights our visit has encouraged us to return again. The Yukon is quite magical. Whitehorse is a very quiet city (maybe more so with covid) but our tours to the southern lakes, ATV dog sledding and the wildlife preserve tour kept us busy during most days. The spa resort was also a great option which had amazing accommodations, food and hospitality. Our two days at the viewing site with northern tales were well organized and kept us occupied while we waited. Just wish we could have left a bit earlier when it was super cloudy with no option of seeing the lights. Site has port o potties and warming tent as well as a campfire. Guides were excellent. Very pleased with our choice to do our first Yukon trip with northern tales!

We did the one-night Northern Lights tour with Northern Tales and found our guide to be very professional, knowledgeable, and great at her job. Although we didn't end up seeing the Aurora Borealis, she was wonderful at keeping us "entertained" all evening, by sharing her experiences and knowledge with the group. The location itself seems ideal for viewing, as there is very little light pollution and it provides a broad vista in which to see the night sky, and, if you're lucky, to actually take in the Northern Lights. The company seems very COVID-aware, as they provide hand sanitizer when you get in the vehicle, as well as at the warming hut. You are also required to wear a face mask when indoors, and they limit the number of people allowed on a tour. When you're picked, you're given a reusable shopping bag (thanks for not using plastic!) with lots of snacks! Even though we weren't able to see the Lights, we felt very happy with the quality of the tour and would recommend it to others.
