This canyon has amazing views from all sides. There are lots of hiking trails along the river that vary in length, so make sure you have your bear bells and spray if you are hiking the area.

This area is where the miners, heading to Dawson City for the gold rush, often crashed with their water craft, (handmade rafts and boats). It is beautiful with the blue green water and has a suspension bridge to the other side of the river. There...More

A great stop for an adventure. I prefer the upper hike to Canyon City. Great history and a scenic hike. The is no restaurants etc at canyon city but makes for a great picnic spot.

This is a wonderful area that explores the very beginning of Whitehorse and tells the story of the Gold Rush. We went on two hikes here and both were spectacular. The first was over the bridge and right (southbound) a guided trip, about 1.5 hours...More

The river goes through a narrow channel with rocks on the side made of basalt. There is a bridge that goes over top. If you want to see that fine --but that's all it is. I wouldn't go out of your way to make a...More

After conquering the hazards of getting their ton of goods over the pass and building a boat to float down the Yukon, folks had to navigate the rapids in this canyon just south of Whitehorse. Many dreams and livers came to an end here. Today,...More

We went on mild low grade hike on our own then did the guided hike. Absolutely stunning. The swinging bridge water so far down in canyon green water and I've never seen a river current so strong it looks like the water is boiling! Just...More

The Canyon is just off the Alaska Highway. It is a beautiful Canyon with a fast-flowing Yukon Rivér cradled by sharp rocky walls. The water is emerald blue and breathtaking! There are walking paths and a suspended bridge that add to the experience.

This is by far one of our favourite places to go in Yukon! There is a suspension bridge that gives you a great view over the canyon. The canyon itself is beautiful. There is a nice hiking trail that follows along the canyon. This is...More

This area is closed in the winter time. So in the summertime, renting a bicycle is also a great idea! You could then take the trails and check out more of the area.

Yes, you can. There are tour busses that go down all the time, and I personally drove a 112 passenger bus down when I worked for summer camps. The trick is to not park in the lower parking lot that gets really tight with... More
