I showed up today, and they accommodated me. I rented a conoe and they picked me up downstream five hours later precisely on time. Charles was very friendly and helpful; he made the experience excellent.

Canoes and kayaks are great and the Kanoe People can’t take credit for the beauty and power of the Yukon river, but they CAN and MUST take credit for their wonderful business, service and people. We wandered in and met Katie. We told her we’d canoed but only on Ontario lakes—our experience ended there. We told her that Kim would prefer to Kayak, Paul would prefer to canoe. She explained that we could pretty much have the experience we wanted…one canoe (with or without guide), one canoe and one kayak (with or without guide in or out of the kayak), a two-hour tour, a four hour tour, longer, etc. She patiently walked us through the options, understood when we said we needed to go away and discuss, gave us the business card and asked that we try to give about a day’s notice of our choice, particularly if we needed a guide. We decided one canoe, no guide, Whitehorse to the Takhini River. We got our canoe, rode the river, lunched on the sandbanks, saw a bald eagle up close, and were picked up at the other end by Harris who provided not only a ride back, but a tour all its own…new suburbs, Whitehorse history and a sense of place. We are so happy with everything here. So, so happy.

Self guided padle on the Mighty Yukon river, definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
Map was very detailed and easy to follow. Gear was very high quality. Paddling was easily doable for beginners and fun for people with more experience!
Saw more bald eagles up close than we could count going down the breathtaking cliffs along the river. Wonderful staff and ownership

Excellent service and gear. I rented a kayak for a 3 hour paddle from Whitehorse to Takhini bridge (unguided - although they also offer guided trips). The staff are super friendly and helpful, the gear was good quality and the shuttle pick up went off without a hitch. I saw so many bald eagles I stopped counting.

This was a smoothly run and comfortable experience from start to finish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and we felt in good hands. We are moderately experienced canoers but I think this would be good for more beginner paddlers as well.
Their equipment is high quality and well maintained and we were outfitted with everything we needed including a stuff sac and a map of the route.
We saw eagles, cliff swallows and a coyote and heard beavers slapping their tails!
Pick up at the end was on time.
Great experience; highly recommend!!!

Have rented boats from them on three different occasions now for the Yukon River Quest race. Always found the owner and staff to be very helpful and great to deal with.

Have visitors in town - two were very nervous. They stopped in and spoke to the staff and came back excited to go and raving about how pleasant everyone was.
Day of - when we got there we mentioned we would raft 2 canoes together for stability - they assisted us with doing so. Very easy paddle as the current takes you along - saw a lot of eagles.

We did the self-guided 20 km kayak trip from their base in Whitehorse to the Takhini River confluence. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Had a wonderful time. So peaceful and scenic. The graphic map was very accurate, so don’t worry about a guide. Good idea to insist on getting the rudder pedals and seat backs set right before you set off. There’s no place to pull off for awhile and it’s not something you can do easily mid-stream, even rafted to your partner. Otherwise, highly recommended!

We called on a hot day for an afternoon canoe ride down the Yukon. They called in a guide to accommodate us and he was terrific. The staff made sure to ask if we had a great day outside and that we were happy with the equipment. All was great. Highly recommend!😁
