- Film GNew England1,051 contributionsGood Food in an Open, Sunny SpotWe had lunch. Decent choices, and the menu is marked for food allergies. The doors open wide on to a patio on Second Avenue. Pleasant vibe, decent food, drink and service. No Wow factor, but a very OK place for lunch.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten June 9, 2024
- PboroBillChapel Hill, North Carolina317 contributionsAnother Pub in the YTWe had dinner here the second night. It's been 10 days. I think I got a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was decent, but unremarkable. Regardless - I don't have a negative opinion My wife got two appetizers and was content with them. The beer was ok. The whiskey flight was interesting. None were really up my alley but all were as advertised. I liked Dirty Northern a bit better, but this was passable. Worth a drop in if you see something on tap you're interested in. 'twas a bit loud in there as well.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten August 12, 2024
- Judith SGarden City, Kansas18 contributionsGood Beer, Great Food in WhitehorseWoodcutter's recently renovated the space and now there is more room for patio seating and inside seating. We started off with a flight and decided to eat there. I had the pork tacos and a tamale. Both were excellent! My husband ordered the fish and chips which he really liked. We each ordered an additional pint and enjoyed the beautiful early evening on the patio. Service was very good, too. T We would recommend getting reservations if you want to dine in as they got very busy as we were leaving. All in all Woodcutter's is a great place for a great meal and good beer.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten September 25, 2024

Nothing like poor service to ruin one's dining experience... I have frequented this establishment for a number of months, mostly afterwork for a beer and/or cocktails (the beverage have been great!) However I have now made the mistake of having lunch a few times. The food and beverages were fine but the hostile service we received has made this my do not go to place for this meal. 3 times I/we have been given the very clear impression that we the patron(s) are a problem for being there. My business guests were dumbfounded, as the local... I was embarrassed. Is lunch the unofficial 'unhappy hour?'

I come here quite a bit and I always have amazing service and really prompt waitresses, but I came here with my friend on a dinner date the other night and I had the worst service ever from a waitress I hadn’t seen there before. It took us quite a while to get a drink order in, and then way longer to even get a food order in. When we asked her questions about the menu she said ‘uhh I have no idea’ and when we asked how much an add on of avocado would be she said ‘I literally don’t know’
After we got our food she left the dishes in front of us for 30 mins after walking by us repeatedly... anyway we ended up leaving and going to another bar because the service was so slow and sloppy :/

An eclectic mix of light meals including their own versions of tacos, Banh mi and more. The in house brewed beers were delicious, especially the Reddish IPA. Service was prompt and the waitress friendly and attentive. Order Tacos on a Tuesday and get a discount!

We were staying in an AirB'n'B that overlooked this place in downtown Whitehorse. We went there the first and last nights of our trip to the Yukon. Friendly staff, clearly popular and excellent service. Look out for the specials on the menu; recommended starter - olive tapenade.
Prices are on a par with those in the area. Book to avoid disappointment.

After a long travel day, we came here for dinner, and couldn’t have made a better choice. We started with the crostinis with three kinds of hummus (all good! I couldn’t choose my favourite) and I had the wonderful butter chicken for my main course. Their beer is amazing too - the Helles is a classic, and I sampled my companions’ Easy Raspberry as well. Our server was lovely, and so helpful with suggestions.

We heard that the WB was offering Indian food for take out during this time of COVID-19 restrictions and they did not disappoint.
Shahi paneer curry for me, chicken tikka masala for him -- both portions were a good size, with more than enough rice, a big salad (with a zippy vinaigrette), roti AND a good-sized custard dessert.
Good value for money for the food, and the beer growler of brewed-in-house 80s Imperial IPA made it all a meal to remember. There is quite a bit of plastic packaging involved, and you do have to heat up the rice, curry and rotis when you get them home (microwave!). It all tasted great despite this tiny bit of extra work.

When in the Yukon, and visiting the capital Whitehorse, treat yourself to a visit Woodcutters. The small cozy log house - recently renovated with an addition adding their own micro brewery, is a step back in time. Friendly staff, great drinks and a warm atmosphere makes this a representative ambassador of Yukon friendliness.

We took several customers and partners to this restaurant and had a mixed experience. Bar is very well stocked with lots of drinks and beers.
Appetizers were very good but the mains were not really my type of meal. I had chosen the risotto which was very undercooked. The staff did offer refund but very disappointing. Everyone who ordered the apple pork chop really enjoyed.
Will try again in hopes 2nd time is better.
