The walk is easy and beautiful with interpretation on the markers to identify types of plants and animals you see. Be sure to call ahead. When we were there in mid-September, 2018 the stream profile was closed for repairs. It is still fun to visit.

Have been here many, many times and always enjoy it. We were lucky enough to be there when the Kokanee salmon were running up Taylor Creek. A great place for the kids to see how a stream really looks from under water.

Good to take a stoller or wheel-chair. This is the wetlands between Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe. Watch for frogs and smaller fish as well as a lot of grasslands. I wish we could have seen the salmon run. That would have been fun....More
