Amazing park

This is a real gem in the heart of San Francisco. Don't overlook the Japanese Tea Garden, which is worth the visit all by itself!!

Facebook, Snapchat and others are ruining bay area gems. People used to have to research, use trial and error to find great places to go. Now they get a photo from a "Friend" (who has hundreds of friends) and they know where to go and how to get their without any effort. Lot's of rookies who leave litter showing up... More

This park has a little bit of everything, it you want to make a great day go to the park and visit the different options it has inside the Park, we really love it. En este parque encontraras un poco de todo, museos, jardines, areas arboladas, de verdad nos encantó

The area includes the bridge and the land on both ends. The visitor center/gift shop is fun to visit. My favorite place, besides walking the bridge, is the overlook on the Sausalito side. It is great place for seeing the entire area and taking photos. I enjoy seeing the ships go under the bridge and the sailboat races. Don't miss... More

The views here are amazing, and the only place you can see the entire Golden Gate Bridge with the city as a backdrop. It's also free. It can get completely fogged in but peeks through the fog are also great!

The GGNRA encompasses so much that it cannot be seen in one day. Some of the things to do are Muir Woods/Beach, Nike Missile sites, The Cliff House/Sutro Baths, Crissy Field, Fort Point, Point Bonita, Fort Mason, Stinson Beach, Point Bonita Lighthouse and Presidio. It is really up to you how much you want to see and do in this... More

In the end this was the highlight of our trip. We took the scenic, one-way route on the coast all the way to the end. Took long walks at the edge of the cliffs, we even saw a herd of deers! The landscape is beautiful, interesting vegetation, the shrubs/bushes are colorful, everything so quiet and the views are out of... More

once upon a time the people of San Francisco had little knowledge of what was the seaward of Highway 101 on the Marin Headlands. From the 1800’s it was a military reservation, it has now been turned into a recreational area. Entry into the area is via a one way tunnel that alternates 5 minutes in opposite directions. There is... More
