We decided to take a Valentine's Day stroll along Shoreham Beach and ended up at the Fort. Our children loved exploring and the history of the Fort was fascinating. It's free too! A shame that the "Food for Fort" kisosk was closed. Prices looked reasonable!

We go here regularly as we live down the road. The kids love it! Loads of places to run and slide down. Great for nerf wars and Easter egg hunts! Don't expect to be entertained, it's like the 70's & 80's childhoods, you make the fun, and it will be as much fun as you make it. Great views for... More

Thank you for your review and it's great to hear that you're enjoying the site. Please do come and see us on a volunteer day and have a tour. The tours do bring the fort to life and show how unique it is. The hot chocolate is very good, especially on a cold morning of Nerf wars ;) Hope to... More

The fort is one of those amazing places, where if you take the time to look and learn a fascinating history is revealed. I go many times a year as the volunteers who run the fort are dedicated to its preservation and put on really good events. Thoroughly recommend.

I hadn't visited the Fort for many years so I was very pleased to see all the work that has been carried out over the last few years. Enjoyed a guided tour with was very informative. Nice cup of tea and cake after. Well done to all involved.

Visit on a Sunday to have a guided tour. The volunteers have done a great job in restoring the fort.

Not a great deal to see but an interesting location at the harbour entrance. Visit at high tide and ships will pass close by.
