This planned I first my way over the river to Shoreham Fort to view the lifeboat hit the water front on and going out to sea. Once the lifeboat was at sea, I visited the station and was offered a tour by a... More

Andy and Paula took us round the station, told us all about the wonderful lifeboat and recounted tales of bravery by the volunteers who man (and woman) the lifeboats in all weathers. An... More

Very moving to be here and hear the stories of heroic rescues and lives saved. Volunteers run the station and are very good at explaining the importance of water safety.

I have visited RNLI Shoreham-by-Sea on 3 occasions now. Learning something new about the volunteers on each visit. The very best is a behind the scenes tour which is usually available. To see what the lifeboat men wear out at sea and realise just how heavy their gear is - a real education! Best of all is to visit on... More

Very interesting visit - lots of history and the chance to step on board and go into the working areas of the lifeboat and sit in the seats. The station itself is marvellous.

We were spontaneously welcomed and shown around by the very friendly attendants. The story of the Shoreham lifeboat(s) and the lifeboat station is well-presented and interesting to hear about.
