We visited this place in the beginning of February, so there was some snow around the mountains, and luckily - not too many people, which is the factor that most often spoils attractions in China. We drove up the altar by G209, parked there, paid about 100 RMB (maybe cheaper price because of off-season) for the three of us, and... More

This spectacular site is located within the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve, commemorating the mythical founder of the local culture. It is still an active shrine, attracting especially Chinese visitors but interesting to international visitors as well.
