This hindu temple looks back to long tradition but is very active in the present. The inside is rich in carved wooden columnes, marble pavements and walls around the sacrum which is fully covered with ornamental decoration made in silver reliefs. Behind the spacious courtyard, beyond an arch is the ritual clearing-pool.

Absolute beautiful temple with a beautiful temple pond. Clean. As I visited mid afternoon...no crowd. Murals inside were very nice. Wish I could get some one tell me about its history. But felt very peaceful praying to the Lord there.

I liked it's serenity and surrounding environment. There is a Market around this temple which sells clothes, food items and dry fruits esp Cashews which are worth buying.

The interior had great carving work but the exterior was not too special, supposed to have been built some 600 years ago and somewhat restored. The water body inthe temple was a nice surprise.

This is most beautiful temple in ponda.
It's so peaceful and quiet.
If you visit during November or October then nothing like that.

Interesting temple but only because we met a lovely lady who spoke good English and explained many things to us.

We had been at a local spice farm nearby so this is why we popped in.

Women need to cover their legs and shoulders! I had packed a long skirt.

The temple is very old and has history attached to it. The campus is small and residential facilities are available for GSB devotees. Palkhi is worth watching every monday night.
