We visited Tagatay on a day trip and our guide suggested we might like to visit the lake inside a volcano in a lake in a volcano so being the adventurous types we said yes. A 25 minute boat ride in humid weather was a blessing and once on the banks of the smaller volcano it's either an exhausting 4... More

It starts with anice ride acros on one of the locals boatx who took us up to the main window to check into. Half our group decided to go up on the horses and other half walked the 2kms to the top. A little challenging but extremely enjoyable. At the top you get your prize with fabulous views. You can... More

The boat ride to the island is about an hour, our ride was very choppy and we got very wet. Most places wanted to charge P1,500, we got it for P1,200. You can choose to ride a horse ( more of a pony ), up the trails, is too narrow for a full grown horse. Horses come with a guide... More

We went here on vacation and from the oposite side looking down at the volcano below, the scene that is created is amazing. You can park at Josephine s restaurant for free to take pictures and the get some good food. A little further up the the road is an amusement park hat is mainly for smaller kids but there... More

We took a day trip from Manila to Taygaytay to view this beautiful lake and surrounding crater. There are numerous restaurants and small hotels around the area as well, making an overnight stay worthwhile.

We went down to Talisy and that's where we contractef our guide who also helped us book a boat for the ride across the lake. We opted not to ride on a pony for the climb up to the crater deciding we needed the exercise. It was a relatively easy climb. Dusty trail (bring or buy a face mask as... More

We were in Manila for 4 days and it was probably the best idea for our family to take 1 day trip to Taal Volcano. It was really worth it because we saw the local life outside the capital. It was really interesting to talk to our driver (we had private driver+car for whole day) about locals and theire everyday... More

Lake Taal is a great place to see old and young volcanoes. It is the only place that I know of that has a volcano within a crater lake, within a volcano, within a crater lake, within a volcano. You can do it in a day if you leave Manila early morning. Leave before 6 AM if you don't want... More

This was a fun little volcano to hike up. It made for a good day trip from Manila. You can get an inexpensive tour that will provide a driver and vehicle then a boat ride across the lake to the volcano. It gets really hot so bring (or buy) lots of water. They have people selling water and Gatorade on... More

Loved this trip. We used the Taal Lake Yacht Club and they actually managed to take us down on horseback right to the crater lake amongst the sulphur steam. It was an amazing experience and worth doing it again.
