This place had exquisite jewellery for sale. All laid out in glass cabinetry. The down point was the shadowing sales people who followed you as you looked down each cabinet. Really put you ill at ease. Stopped us for wanting to buy

The gold and silversmith's workshop and store was a very interesting visit.
We watched them work silently on delicate jewelry pieces. the process was explained to us in a short 10 minute tour, then we were left alone to browse the store and jewelry display area.
I recommend this visit if you want an insight to Balinese tradition.
P.S. Silver/goldsmith's techniques are passed down through generations.

Stopped at this place while on the way to a coffee plantation, and I really enjoyed seeing all of the jewelry laid out so nicely. The women there hovered while my group and I looked around, even though most of the jewelry was behind glass. It was a nice place to pass by.

In an area full of silver and gold sellers Bara stands out for all the right reasons. Lovely friendly and welcoming family who love to explain how they make their products before showing you the showroom full of beautiful high quality jewellery.
As someone who works with silver as a hobby, I was hugely put off by the overinflated prices I had encountered elsewhere, so finding this little gem of a shop was wonderful. Priced in US dollars, the ticket prices are reasonable, but the owners will insist that you haggle the price and are eager to to a deal (without being at all pushy in trying to sell).
During our visit we were given a drink, and invited to see their house temple and make friends with their dachshunds!
We left, delighted with our purchases.

Found this really interesting visit and toured the work shops first before looking at gold and silver showrooms .the most interesting part was watching them at work .(although I couldn't help but feel sorry for them and there working conditions
Upstairs was just a giant showroom with tables and cabinets full of silver rings ,chains, and al manor of other items of jewellery.(although over priced)

The Bara Gold and Silver smith workshop as well as showroom was worth visiting. It was a good experience to watch the smiths working and making the jewellery that we get to wear. Even the factory was well kept and decently priced. It was a good collection.

Once again stopped here as part of the booked tour. A waste of time and money. Its a showroom and no attractions at all.

Stopped for short visit to see the silversmiths at work and to admire their handiwork. The silver and gold jewelry was quiteimpressive in terms of both the quality and the intricate designs. Thought the prices were a bit high given today's price of silver!!But then again the quality was very good.
The store and grounds were very attractive and the staff kept a low profile but were obviously ready to pounce if they thought you were a real potential buyer.
