Beautiful as usual. Good time of year to visit with so many specimens in flower. Compared to eight years ago it is looking a bit tired. A lot of meadow grass now being used with more being down, and at this time of year looking...More

My first visit having read and heard about the garden. The overall impression was delightful with the mixture of small walled gardens and open meadows. The house is more like a Manor House than a castle but there is a moat around 2 sides. Not...More

Visited Sissinghurst castle today and had a lovely lunch in the restaurant (chicken salad) and the young staff were efficient, fast and friendly. It was very hot but the tables on the far side had a lovely breeze from open windows and the food was...More

This is well worth a visit particularly in June for the beautiful scented roses. There is a large lake that can be walked round too which we did with a volunteer, Ray, who shared his knowledge. There is also a tower that you can climb...More

Enjoyed spending a full day here in glorious sunshine. Loved the meadow planting, especially that outside the restaurant. Particularly enjoyed the White Garden. The roses were in full bloom but sadly some of the flowers seemed to have been damaged by wind and rain last...More

Saw the garden 10 years ago and it was wonderful. The wider views and grounds are still spectacular, but what has gone wrong? The formal gardens have all but disappeared. So much seems given over to "meadow planting" and thus gives it an unkempt, untidy...More

The gardens here are absolutely stunning and maintained by a clearly passionate army of gardeners. The views from the tower are fantastic too. Unfortunately it was incredibly busy when we visited (4 coaches were parked when we arrived just after 11) so our enjoyment of...More

We have visited sissinghurst castle gardens before but to be fair forgotten how truly spectacular they are . A photographers dream - the white garden is beautiful . Good value and a great restaurant and NT shop .

Our first visit to the location in a beautiful part of Kent. Parking close to the castle and visitors centre. We went on one of the recommended walks first and then looped back to the Castle itself. Was one of those glorious early Summer Days...More

Yes, and it's lovely and worth the visit in my opinion. Open every day but closed in June. You request your timed ticket when paying the entry at the ticket office. Be aware that Sissinghurst is very popular and can get busy... More
