Enjoy an exclusive private tour in the South of France. Your professional guide takes care of transportation and all the details so you can enjoy a relaxing day in Provence. Start with a walk through the cobblestone streets of Le Castellet, a feudal hilltop village. Head to the Mediterranean fishing port of Cassis, where the locals vacation. End your tour in Marseille, where you can take excellent panoramic photos from the Notre Dame Basilica.

Having visited le Castellet on and off over three decades, our most recent visit last week left us feeling disappointed. Over time we had noticed that the village was becoming more and more touristy and beginning to lose its authentic charm, something it used to have in abundance. Five years having passed since our last visit, it has changed again and in our opinion not for the better. It still has the views and the setting, but is now almost entirely given over to souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants. The charm it used to have is gone. It is like shopping in an outdoor market. I don't think we will ever return. Suggest that instead of le Castellet, you consider visiting nearby medieval la Cadiere d'Azur which caters for both locals and tourists, and at least for now still has a more authentic feel to it.

Very pretty and interesting village to visit for anyone in the area. The streets wind into each other and the history of the buildings is fascinating. The views from the castle walls are also great. Definitely a location set up for tourists, but a good way to spend a couple of hours.

We stopped here as part of our cruise ship tour. Village is very small and walkable. Nice views of the valley and vineyards. Several shops and a few restaurants. We found a small restaurant and stopped for some local wine with a view. The larger restaurant told us it would be a minimum of 20 minutes to be seated for lunch. We heard from others on our tour that the restaurant staff was rude and would not serve them.

We visit Le castellet every year and have watched it improve over the last twenty years. Money spent on roads inside village etc has been great improvement. Shops can change year on year but it helps you search village. Need to be quite mobile as up and down inside. We love the place. Particularly getting yearly new products, pottery etc. We love coffee at Roy Dis in fountain sqare
