I wouldn't say Telavi is a must go city, but if you happen to be there be sure to do a quick look at the old section with this statue and a so called palace.

A well poised stand-out statue in Telavi.the statue is not too far from the Giant tree. It is not something i will advise anyone to go out of their way to see, however, once in the area it is almost impossible to miss it and offers a nice photo opportunity.

The monument is located right next to the fortress so it is centrally located and worth the tiny detour.

This is an impressive statue. Like most of Telavi, it can be seen quite quickly. That said we did enjoy our stay in Telavi.

Just down from the Fortress is the statue of Heraclius 11. I love a good statue and this goes in this small town, it adds character to the place. Good photo opportunities.

King Heraclius is the second very revered king among the Georgians. There is a monument in his homeland in Telavi. The king is on horseback. He was born in Telavi and died there.
