No, it is not a secret, but it is still a stunning beach! Calm turquoise water. Limestone karsts. Powdery white sand. Access is by ferry or long tail boat. It is so romantic and great for families. Yes it can get somewhat busy, even crowded at certain times of year, but it's still really nice. There aren't very many hawkers,... More

Railay was an awesome place in general, nice beach, plenty to explore, the food was reasonably priced, and the rock climbing was great!

Similar to its cousin, Ao Nang Beach, Railay Beach is more of a communal gathering spot than a distinctive beach area. For better beaches in the area, recommend taking one of the island tours / Hong Island for sure

Very nice beach. Longtail boat transfer from Ao Nang for 100 baht per person, each way, set fare. Very beautiful and not too busy. Easy to walk to Railay East/West 10 mins. Also easy to walk to Phang Nga beach 5 mins. Well worth the trip. I agree the most beautiful beaches in Thailand.

Let me just say that Railay is beautiful. You can rock climb with amazing scenery, relax on the white sandy beach and cool off in the crystal clear water. If not, you can always go to nearby islands from Railay. Would love to be back, although I must say there boats are pretty noisy and ruin the whole relaxation experience!

The west beach is nice, warm water, white sand, but there are too much boats with noisy engine, nothing for relax. No shade after afternoon. In the east coast was outflow during our stay, so mud only.

This beach is blessed with natural beauty. Unfortunately it is far too crowded with people and a big section of the beach is cordoned off for the dozens of noisy, smelly longtails that come and go each day, full of daytrippers. I'm sure it was amazing in the past, but its been somewhat spoiled. Still worth a visit for a... More

Visited on 3 Feb 2016. I chose two shady spots on the both sides of the beach. The usual white powdery sand felt damp and there were black ants which I got a few bites from. Could not have a nap after a filling lunch as there were annoying Chinese speaking tourists talking loudly, bossing the young children around or... More

A beautiful beach in a tropical paradise. Stay at either end of the beach, as the long boats dock in the middle of the beach and their motors can be loud and smoky. At low tide expect to walk on some partially submerged corals, which can cut your feet. At high tide the water is heaven. You can arrange for... More
