Hours cart

One of the most interesting experiences the ride in a hours cart to the temple And it is the most complete temple as it was covered completely in sand Must see

Thirty-five miles along the Edfu-Mersa Alam road is Seti I's Temple at Kanais. A Roman well and fortlet stand here too. The temple is cut into the cliff face, a rare occurrence in Egypt. It is a small Temple but you can only access it by car.

Easy access made this place all the more enjoyable. The artifacts here are awesome and well worth the visit. So many aces in Egypt and so thankful the nice folks here share them with us.

Beautiful and well-preserved colorful Temple, tasteful as everything build under Seti I time. Remains of roman fort nearby, including well-preserved well (70 meter deep according to personell on site). Temple is situated a bit off road over a plain, maybe 500 meters easy walking south from road Edfu-Marsa Alam.

This is sometimes known as el Ridisya but this is a nearby village Although posted under 'Luxor' which is where we did it from, it is technically nearer Aswan. We drove down the main East Bank road and then turned left for Marsa Allam, driving just over 40km in this direction. They do not allow flash photography in the temple... More
