We had a spacious site along the water. There was such a pretty sky the night we were there as well as a beautiful full moon. The only hiking trail in the park is the 1 km MacLeod Trail, but we were only here for one night and didn't end up having time to check it out.

If you're traveling across northern Ontario and camping, MacLeod Provincial Park is a great stop. Many sites feature views of Kenogamisis Bay and decent fishing is available right from shore. The park is quiet, with mostly local seasonal campers each night. While it is an Ontario Provincial Park, it is operated my a local municipal organization. Service is great.

Been camping here since 1998 and it is one of the nicest parks this side of the 49th parallel! The staff is awesome and informative and their work around the grounds and is impeccable!

From the time we arrived to when we left, it was the worse PP we have been too.
The young girl at the front gate was unfriendly and rude upon checking us in.
After setting up we explored by riding our bikes. Numerous times we were almost hit by people racing through the roads, driving at excessive speeds for inside a park with small children all around. We couldn't wait to go swimming but were told you could get swimmers itch in the lake. Some camp sites are facing the highway, so you hear the traffic of trucks.
Our most enjoyable time was spent kayaking the beautiful lake.
No Park badges available to purchase.

Bucket List: Visit every Provincial Park in Ontario. Another beautiful park. As we drove through the campground and visited the beach we noticed that it was very quiet even though there were many families camping here. The beach area is beautiful and there is a nice play area. We stopped and had lunch on an empty site that overlooked the lake, would have been great to camp here.

Right off the highway at Geraldton on #11 but no noise. Friendly informed staff, manicured grass/ treed sites, dust contained, beautiful grass and sand beach with play area on Little Long Lake, very clean...unable to make reservations only downside as prov park now run by community... don’t miss it.. a gem

One of the smaller PP’s with only 120 sites. Many nice large pull thru sites and lots of water locations! This park sits on a peninsula with water on both sides! Bonus with delivered campfire wood for only $20! Lots of wood! Definitely a must see!!

Do you have shower and toilet facilities? Is a reservation required for an overnight mid week in Sept.?

I am just wondering if you just arrived at the site and picked a lot? We will be traveling there in August (during the week) and I'm worried there won't be any spots left. Thanks :)
