I went with my fiance early in the morning. Guides arrive a little late but was a worthwhile waiting. They were well trained and always asking if we were ok during the experience. One more couple escalated with us in a wall if calcarium rock. We loved the experience, they rent all equipment for you. As an advice, wear sweater or shirts and shorts if you feel comfortable. If not I recommend use pants. Ladies use sport leggings. Bring a brunch with you before and after escalate. Guides are worried with your security and are always sure you are ok when you are at the top.
Payment on cash or credit card throughout Aventureros company. The guides were employed by the company. Experience included launch and beverages.
A unique negative point was the guides arrived one hour late! I guess was responsability of Aventureros company because they should ring them in advance.

We had a great time with otto - it was our first time and he was incredibly patient and helpful. He clearly knows the area very well and can recommend climbs for all levels. He is also great to chat to! Full marks and I would highly recommend!

Amazing climbing spot! Access so wonderfully easy and so many different climbs, perfect rocks. If you are not an advanced climber, I recommend a guide from the climbing shop in Suesca as many routes are classic ones.

Lovely Spanish style Town.

Try "Churros" home made donouts with guava or Dulce de leches inside.

Siesta Rocks are amazing. There are different levels and it is very organized.

We chose Nomada because we had only 2 hrs to spend and they fit to our request.

Call a day a head to reserve. They have restaurant and a hostel.

Suesca is definitly one the place to go safely climbing near Bogotá. But if you are not and just want to take a walk, don't follow the trian path: go uphill instead. You will be able to enjoy the nice views, with less people and more nature !

There is a great blog that does into more detail about climbing in Suesca you can find it here: http://www.climbing.com/route/ghosts-the-rock-gods-and-colombian-climbing/

My experiences:
- lots of history of indigenous gods and tribes in the area
- great for outdoor climbing and traditional climbing
- few bolted routes for sports climbing. And not ideal for beginners without a guide
- guides a relatively cheap
- easy access from the main road only about a 5min walk from hostels and cafés!
- good climbing weather and the sun doesn't shine directly when climbing
- you can get a full 10hr day climbing if you're up for it!
- shops are limited so I suggest you buy all your food in bogota in a big exito before you arrive

Previously I had only been indoor rock climbing, so I came here with an English-speaking instructor named Sebastian (I booked this through Rodrigo at Destino Bogota). It was great. We climbed four different routes over the course of a couple of hours, and it was challenging but a lot of fun. It is totally safe. I'm really glad I did it, it was a highlight of my trip.
