Historical temples

Famous temples from 12th century... curving on stones very good ..no sign board on the way to temples..you can find only on Google because local people are not to much in this... read more

Famous temples from 12th century... curving on stones very good ..no sign board on the way to temples..you can find only on Google because local people are not to much in this area.. management was not good

12th century Hindu temple probably broken by Mughals. The temple remains still remain lying. Some people had reportedly been picking up the stones which were very expensive for those who understand their value from historical point of view.

Me and my friends vist this temple on1/3/17 it was so great on temple walls you can sea many godles it was so great experience

The Kiradu group of temples are near to the Barmer city. The near by village is Hathma. The roads are decent except for the last 500 m which is just ok. It is basically a group of temples from the 11th and 12th century. Originally there were many temples but now there are a few left. The ASI have restored... More

Kiradu ruins glorifyie the temple architecture in stone carvings which are very unique & marvellous to see. I was impressed by the rock cutting which is intact even today. I would reccomend anybody to visit these ruins which is 1 hour drive from Barmer. Not to be missed

Getting There:- Kiradu is approximately 40kms from Barmer and finding local transportation is tough. We hired a small 4 wheel auto to take us around Barmer including Kiradu for INR 1000. No Public transport is available till Kiradu since this place is off beat and perfect for adventure seekers. On reaching there we did not find a single tourist there... More

although partially destroyed, one can still see the grandeur of the kiradu temples. has sculptures in the khajuraho style; area makes for great exploration

In early morning we take our jeep out of barmer town. It seem long but around 30 km after i was on the ancient site Kiradu temple. Its 11 century ruin. Set of five temple.It is a master work on sand stone. this site known as Khajuraho of Rajasthan. Sad part is that this treasure yet not maintained very well.... More

There is a group of five temples. Entry fee Rs 10 by rajasthan govt. Connectivity through road. Very nice historical temple.
