A little gem near Amsterdam, well worth seeing for the afternoon and a bite to eat in the town afterward to complete a full afternoon. Beautiful clean area, and workers there are extremely polite and friendly. Beautiful scenery and a taste of history of the...More

Now this goes back in time. It was very interesting to see how people lived back then and what they had to do to live. A must see!

When you approach the Muiderslot, you already perceive the full history and grandeur of this castle. Great muzes (guides), that are passionate and knowledgable. Love the details on P.C. Hooft, Maria Tesselschade, "tot in de pruimentijd" and the eye for detail and richness of the...More

Nice castle. Not that big as Haar Kaastel, however has a lot to show for visitors as well. There are a lot of things to attract kids attention - starting from dressing as knights to knight tournaments. Kids will love this place.

Really great castle! Interesting tour and the tour lady was quite nice - we were the only English speaking people there and she translated everything to us without rush.Awesome scenery. Visit Muiderslot - you will not regret it.

Nice castle with a maze garden in front. Go early to avoid long queue. They give free postcards at the entrance counter, you can purchase stamps in the souvenir stores inside. The tours inside the castle are conducted by kids, and they speak in Dutch,...More

This was such a beautiful, picturesque castle with gorgeous gardens, many activities specifically designed for children (like dressing up and an interactive jousting game) and our three young kids loved climbing up the towers and exploring. On a sunny day you could spend a long...More

We were excited about touring Muiderslot, but we were disappointed with our experience. It was misleading that we paid full admission yet were not told that the tour guide would be speaking Dutch 95% of the time. We were given English handouts with sparse information...More

The queue can get pretty long. The castle opens only at 12 am. We were there at 11:45, and there were already 10-15 people waiting, and after us quite few more built-up fast before the castle opening. We had the museum card... More

I don't know about the tours, not joined them (and not sure if you really need one). Anyway, in the castle there are only few English information, most are in Dutch. Not a very difficult story, but get prepared to explain... More
