About
Nestled in the scenic Moose Mountains on the White Bear First Nations in southeast Saskatchewan, the Bear Claw Casino is SIGA’s most historic casino. The Bear Claw Casino originally opened in 1993 on the White Bear First Nations near Carlyle SK. It was shut down in what was a highly contentious and emotional part of history between First Nations and the provincial government regarding gaming in Saskatchewan. The casino re-opened in November 1996 and has been successfully operating ever since. Since the re-opening players have come from all over the province, Manitoba and northern USA for a chance to play in the intimate setting of the casino and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. With 10 RV parking spots, the new outdoor event area and re-opening of the Bear Claw Hotel, the Bear Claw Casino is becoming a true resort destination.

Some sit n wait at the till as another waitress can’t ring you thru but only your server can. Wow that’s a first.

Very nice rooms, king bed suite, 3 person jacuzzi, large bathroom. Very pleased with room. Staff was very friendly, restaurant food was quick, good taste, and good portions, ( wife's portion was too much for her, mine was just right). Their bathroom shampoos and soaps are amazing( I actually ordered from their supplier). Highly recommend White Bear Hotel Casino. We are definitely booking another weekend with them. Rooms very clean, and extremely comfortable bed, and bedding.

We have stayed here twice before this visit and overall enjoyed the experience. Comfortable rooms. A bit smokey, but no smoking is allowed in the area of the rooms, must just drift from the casino.
The price of the room was fair until we were told each night we would be paying an extra $52 for our pets. For 2 nights we had to pay and additional $104 as we had our two 1kg poodle pooches with us. $25 plus tax per pet every night.
We have enjoyed this hotel in the past but will not return because of this extra charge.
We have many other pet friendly places to choose from that will be better for our budget.
Too bad as we liked this place

Small, smoky, casino with poor customer service...add to that limited variety of slots and we are guaranteed NOT to be making a return visit. Save your money... there are better casinos to visit in Saskatchewan!

Smoking is allowed everywhere in this small casino. We were quite disappointed with the service of the slot attendants. My slot machine was stuck on a $2.00 bet. The slot attendant asked me to spin again so she could see what the machine was doing. No thanks. I didn't care to spend more money on a machine that wasn't working. Later, when I asked another slot attendant to fix another slot machine, she just stood there. When I asked what she was planning to do she simply said the guy who does that was not at work that day. No customer service there! We did not stay at the hotel or eat at the casino so I am unable to comment on what the guest experience there would be.

You know what? The Bear Claw is a great place. Its the most reasonably priced hotel in the area, and uts quiet nice. Fridges and microwaves in every room, and the casino has lots of action.

Reastaurant is just ok. Decent, but wont knock your socks off.

Serive and this hotelnis top notch. I have stayed many times, always happy with my experience.

We stopped in at the casino while staying in the area for a couple hours one evening. The casino was clean and offered a small variety of slot machines and had 1 table game open. The payouts seemed standard (no big wins, no big losses).

Chose this spot due to itinerary timing and a few good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Business was very slow on this weekday evening but the service was still enthusiastic, the room very well maintained and clean. Small restaurant on site has a somewhat limited menu but the food was prepared perfectly and quickly and was very enjoyable.

Don't stay anywhere else when you're in the area! The staff are excellent and the rooms are very nice indeed. The restaurant has good food also. Reasonable prices for the hotel and food.
