Neema was the perfect stay in Iringa - close to the centre of town and a selection of great restaurants. The cafe was incredible with so many delicious options, and the only place I bought any souvenirs was in the wonderful store full of handcrafts. Even better, the whole organisation supports locals living with disabilities, changing perceptions and providing employment.

We got a free tour through their premises and saw all their employees and their working places! We were shown all the different departments which was very interesting! Also their store has really nice crafts for reasonable prices as everything is handmade! Great idea and lovely people!!

there is a workshop in the bottom and a small cafe on the second floor then a hotel. The food at the cafe is great, the only place you can trust ice cream in Iringa. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. You have to write down your orders on paper as the waiters are all hearing impaired, they're very friendly.... More

We stayed at the Neema Crafts Hotel attached to the cafe for 2 nights. Clean, well-maintained, and a real community place, it was so great to see a hotel/cafe giving back to the local community in sustainable ways. The bottom of the cafe is a place for local people with disabilities to sell their crafts to whoever comes in. The... More

This restaurant is located on the top floor of a retail space that is attached to a sheltered workshop. Although the service is very uneven, the food is good. The chocolate cake is amazing.

It's an establishment of two halves. Downstairs there is a nice craft shop where Neema's own disabled artists sell their work (and their pieces are not the usual tourist tat but have their own style). Upstairs there is a nice restaurant that does light meals, panini's, coffee's etc. The staff in the restaurant are all deaf so you have to... More

Having spent 3 weeks in Tanzania, this was a hidden gem, something completely different & unexpected.Downstairs is a lovely craft shop that supports local disabled artists & contains lovely gifts from cushion covers to stuffed toys-the perfect souvenir from Tanzania & one that benefits the local industry. All the items are extremely keenly priced & you will want to buy... More

Well worth popping into for good coffee and smoothies. The craft shop is great and sells a variety of interesting items all made locally.

Great place to stay when travelling through. We love to stay and bring friends. Tour of the workshops is brilliant. Great work is done here to employ and raise the status of disabled nationals. Can't recommend it highly enough. The cafe is good wholesome food.
