Yes, you have to hike about 15 minutes up and down some narrow, rocky trails to get here, and it's not easy to even drive up to the place where the path starts. But why are people happy? Because you can go here and be...More
They don’t make them any prettier than this! This gorgeous beach is only a short walk from Friar’s Beach. The road to Friar’s beach is horrible and you’ll think you’ve gone the wrong way. The walking path is to the right of the parking area...More
A little hard to find but well worth it the beach is clean...no weeds. The water is fantastic and sometimes the waves are really good! Food and drink available from Danny. Being your own chair and umbrella. Not many people. Sometimes the beach has quite...More
This place is my favorite of all beaches. It's secluded and pristine. While the neighborhood that lines the beach are completely destroyed, the beach has been cleaned up, and is accessible (hike or by boat). White sand, crystal clear water, secluded, intimate.
Prior reviews on Happy Bay Beach describe it perfectly ... A great secluded beach with natural beauty and nice people. Once we figured out how to get to Friar’s Beach, the hike over was easy. Really no way to get lost. One definitely wants good...More
This side of the island was hit pretty hard but happy bay still lives on! Trees are a little scarce but you can still find some shade or bring a umbrella. There’s nothing here but relaxation. It’s a short walk back and well worth it,...More
So our first attempt finding Happy Beach was a fail. We ended up entering through Faria Beach Via a small trail. Danny is the only attendant and shared an easier way via Happy Bay road. Park at the white closed gate and walk 12 minuets...More
While on a cruise, we selected Rhino Riders for our shore tour. It was a wonderful choice. We were with our family and loaded up the Rhinos, powered by a 30HP motor, headed out to Happy Bay Beach. The guide took us past much of...More

You have to "hike" there from Frair's Bay. To get there from La Savane, turn left on Rue Happy Bay and stay left. (The access gate to Happy Bay homes is closed off; the entire neighborhood is demolished except one home). Staying left is a paved road and as soon as the road curves left, there is a dirt road you have to curb jump. A tree will split the dirt road; you'll know you're on the right path). Follow this until you get to a parking area. Immediately to the left is a walking path, follow this PAST the rocky beach and you'll come to an opening. Enjoy!
