Very nice little beach, we actually liked it better then most, it's off the beaten path but like everywhere we traveled, we asked along the the way and like their licence plates say "the friendly island " people pointed us in the right directions. There are 2 restruants on the beach and plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to rent.... More

Lovely little cove with a beautiful view of Anguilla. Never very crowded mid-week - probably because it's down a long road off the beaten path. Like every "local" beach in St. Martin, it can get a little loud on the weekends when locals play their music (often with huge speakers) incredibly loud.

This is a very nice beach. Very relaxing and a great restaurant is a bonus. Great bar, the drinks are very reasonable and they don't hold back on the pour. Bring a towel or rent a chair. You won't be disappointed.

Not sure how we missed this beach on our past 5 visits.....we had a rainy afternoon, so after leaving Grand Case we followed the signs and viola! Gorgoeus, even in the rain. We went back twice. Water is calm, clear, no rocks, no undertow and no wind.. Two restaurants (we lounged at Cali's both days), lounge chairs $6 . Pack... More

I do not know why but after 2 months in the area I finally visited Friar's Bay. The beach is amazing, very calm, with little swell or wind. Well protected by the mountain. I think is great to relax or to bring your younger kids as the water is perfect

Friar's Bay is a nice beach about 1 mile with two beachfront restaurants, chaise / umbrella rentals. The beach itself is good sand with a small stone/gravel ridge to contend with but nothing terrible. On the whole, we found the beach itself was better than the Grand Case one overall and the water was calmer. We walked from Grand Case... More

My family have been to most all of the beaches in SXM and Friars Bay is at top of the list! The beach is long and sandy- with two separate beach bar/restaurants to choose from. Parking is ample and free. Both bars offer lounge chairs and umbrellas at a $5 fee...assuming you eat/drink there at some point. The view is... More

Friar's Bay Beach is about a 1/4 mile long with two beach bars/restaurants and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent. It's a quiet beach with calm water and no breeze, as it's on the leeward side of the island. The lack of breeze can make it feel quite hot. We saw topless women and people wearing thongs -... More

The translation from french is a little literal, but the meaning is "here you've gotten away" - and you have when you get to Friar's Bay. Off the beaten path in St Martin, not commercial and as crowded as Orient Bay, great swimming and the best sunsets as the beach faces west. There are options here - go native, go... More

The Friar bay cafe (IcI t'es lilleur) was so cute and had great food. you could sit either on the beach... More
