No hectic and simply perfect to enjoy the wonderful beach and amazing sea view. Not easy to get there without rental car.

You have to pass this Island if you wish to take the scenic route from southern Mexico to the Yucatan peninsula. The road follows the sea quite a lot and you also get nice views of the lagoon. Pelicans are seen in great numbers and there are plenty of other birds. You can get nice shrimps and other seafood at little... More

I love this place. We had the opportunity to see dolphins and enjoyed the small Island we stopped for swimming. People are very nice.

My husband and I were driving around and saw this beautiful water and followed it to a few restaurants. We had seafood and drinks on the beach 5 different times during our month stay in Cd Del Carmen. We met some great people and had a wonderful time. Took some gorgeous pics.

Isla aguada was desolate and unless you're planning on paying over a thousand pesos a night for a place, extremely unhospitable for travelers. Freedom shores was cool for camping and the management was lovely, but I wouldn't recommend the town for young backpackers.
