About
Described as “one of the most welcoming clubs we have ever experienced” by hiddenlinksgolf and “a connoisseur’s course jammed full of memorable quality holes” by Top100golfcourses. Hunstanton Golf Club is a friendly members’ club in which both ladies’ and men’s sections are fully integrated. A number of roll-ups during the week ensure that members can always turn up and get a game. In addition members may book tee times on our on-line tee booking facility. Many friendly competitions throughout the year and during our “Golf Week” in August ensure that golfers make lasting friendships here. The ladies’ section also is particularly active, with ladies’ competitions played on almost every Thursday (and many Sundays) of the year.

A lovely golf course with nice fairways and greens. There were disappointments however - they call it a links course and certainly the back 9 looks and feels as such. However the front 9, apart from the pot bunkers, is very ordinary. Also paths to following holes poorly signposted with many rubber mats with grass growing through.
I've played several links courses and I've never seen such lush fairways and green aprons. Many approaches to tee boxes deep lush grass.
We started our round at 4pm and we're charged £75.00 (£90.00 before 4pm). This was expensive and not good value for money. I can only assume that visitors (many holiday makers) are seen as easy prey and will pay such prices as they are on holiday.
The club house was very average although the locker room lovely. Engaging and friendly staff. Members NOT friendly, decidedly very stiff. Pro shop ridiculously expensive (a sleeve of Pro V1 £14.50).
In my view, this is a golf course/club that believes that it is a cut above the rest and if visitors continue to pay excessive green fees then I suspect it will remain so.
Enjoyed the experience, but unless the green fees were reduced would not be back.

I played 36 holes at this picturesque golf course, on a windy April day. The pro kindly gave me permission to tee off before dawn so I could watch the sunrise while out on the links. It was worth getting up at 5am for. The course is ranked 59 in the U.K. and you can really tell why. Each hole is demanding and imagination is needed on every shot.
I was joined by my family for brunch and the staff were incredibly helpful and the food was delightful. I would recommend playing the course and I will be going back.

This was the first time we had played Hunstanton. It is easy to see why it ranks 66th in the UK and Ireland with some really interesting holes, deep bunkers and fast greens. We managed to play on a lovely Saturday afternoon and could not have been made more welcome, both on the course and in the Clubhouse afterwards. Excellent, top rank, golf club.

I took my 5 children for their first golf lesson today with James as the Pro. He was superb and all the children have asked to return for more.
The club appears to actively encourage youngsters into the sport which I very much appreciated
The members I encountered were welcoming and open.
There is a large free car park, am efficient neat and tidy club house, and well stocked small golf shop.

A ‘must play’ if you are in area - but you do have to enjoy the challenges of links golf to fully appreciate why Hunstanton is so worthy of its place in the ‘Top100’ courses. The course has everything from rolling fairways, steep sided pot bunkers, tricky holes particularly the 17th and of course the sea breeze.
We played Hunstanton as competitors in the ‘East Anglian Open Foursomes’ competition, a two day tournament that we found was extremely well-organised and the food on the Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime was superb. The Saturday evening billed as a ‘supper’ was actually a three course spread with a choice of meat pies with vegetables & potatoes or curry and rice, choice of desserts, cheese and biscuits and coffee. On the following day for the competitors at lunchtime it was a full carvery, although if you are lucky enough to be in the final round of the matchplay ‘flights’ in the afternoon this was slightly too much and a snack would have done, but it was excellent for the players who hadn’t made the final flights who could enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch and spectate. It was £170 per pair to enter but as this included a guaranteed 3 rounds, lunches and dinners it was superb value for money. (We were lucky enough to finish joint-third and therefore we had 4 rounds of golf, won £55 each and a dozen Titleist golf balls to make our weekend an absolute bargain).
