About
At the crossroads of Pomerol and Saint Émilion appellations in the heart of Bordeaux, France, lie a pair of historic vineyards, Château de Chambrun and Château Moncets, each nestled within the boutique Lalande de Pomerol appellation. Overseen by a dynamic and experienced winemaking team, these estates are producing a distinctively ‘new wave’ style of Bordeaux wine, with vigor and freshness of authentic fruit that’s catching the attention and praise of some of the world’s top wine writers and publications. In terms of biodiversity, the team is creating a real ecological farm totally integrated in their winemaking processes ... that’s include beehives, sheep, goats, fowls …

Excellent wine tour, the young team were really
Enthusiastic about what they are doing, very knowledgable and want to engage people in a discussion about how they make wine and their organic approach. Was really impressed, and I’m a bit of an old cynic! Been on a few of these over the years and this was by far the best! Well done to them and I wish them every success! Oh and the wine tastes great!

We visited as the 2nd winery on our electric bike tour with Rustic Vines. The tour was very informative and the wines very good....the ‘teenager’ 2015 wine from Chateau Moncets being a firm favourite!
Also took on the golf challenge - trying to hit a wine bottle from 80 metres to win a 49€ bottle of wine....narrowly missed on both attempts so no wine for me! 😭
The Chateau itself is in a run down state but work has started to restore it and use as a wedding & event venue so I’d love to return one day to see the finished results (and enjoy some more of the wine!!! 🍷)

Beautiful Chateau in Lalande-de-Pomerol. The young guide was very knowledgeable and witty and had immense enthusiasm for the Vineyard. The wines were up there with the best we tasted on the day. We had lunch in the Chateau which despite being run down, had a load of charm, and is I believe on the verge of a renovation project. Have a go at the golf challenge to try and win a bottle of their wine!! Well worth a visit

Excellent place to sit and contemplate the beauty around you. The room we had was not the best for what we paid, but the setting & location more than compensated. A romantic and idyllic place - just beautiful.

Our "guide" Rose was an inspiring and talent young woman who explained the secrets of the Chateau de Chambrun - Chateau Moncets wines and surroundings in a very clear and understandable way. She made our visit a very great experience. I can highly recommend a visit.

Rose, our guide was very friendly, helpful, answered all our questions. It was really nice to see, how young people can operate a winery with innovation and produce super delicious wines.

We met Rose, who explained the history of the Place, the ongoing rebuilding of the chateau, and guided us through a wine-tasting. Interesting to see how different taste of wine can be - from the conventional procution to the more eco-wine (although it was the same wine). The visit was organized through Rustic Wines, and we came by e-bikes. We had a wonderful picnic in the park Beyond the Chateau.

My wife & I have been on a few wine tours over the years but this was by far the most interesting we’ve ever Ben on. It was really informative especially regarding the innovative approach they’ve used to move from the historical use of pesticides to instead using technology to improve the quality of the wines. Thank you!
