Las tintoreras was a very nice day activity. You'll have the opportunity to see a lot of birds, iguanas and a sharkpit on the land of the lavastones. While snorkeling you'll see many turtles. We even saw a pinguin, some rays and iguana swimming!

I went there on my last day in Puerto Villamil. I loved the trip. I got to see penguins, sea turtles, marine iguanas, the Tintoreras and some sea lions. Also, the snorkeling place was great. The water was clear and we swam with marine iguanas. It was an unforgettable experience.

This tour included a boat ride, walking tour of the tintoreras where you can spot marine iguanas mating, sealions, sharks and a variety of birds. The guides were very informative. Then there was great snorkeling although there is even better snorkeling in the Galapagos...the tunnels tour and Pinzon Island.

Compared to Los Tuneles it's not really worth the 45$. Basic snorkelling, walking with some explanation. Snacks consist of one little cookie package. Just not that exciting.

This is by far the best snorkeling I've ever done. We saw an abundance of turtles, rays, iguanas, sharks, fish, everything! On the boat ride over we also saw penguins (my personal favorite!) I'm so glad we came to this spot when we visited Isabela.

On a tour, the group was led to a shallow channel where there were white tipped reef sharks and a tortuga swimming. The viewpoint was from above. They were clearly visible, but not really photographable. On the path, there were lots of marine Iguanas are black/gray in color. We had to carefully walk around them. There were sea lions on... Our Galápagos trip has been incredible! We have seen so much wildlife & been so close to these animals, it's hard to describe in words! La Tintorerars was one of the 3 stops for our tour. We first stopped on a lava rock formation to see the marine iguanas then the white tip reef sharks. Then the group went on... More

If you've already done the Cabo Rosa tunnels tour and didn't see penguins, this is your best chance to see them! Otherwise it was a very similar trip to the tunnels but with less snorkeling and more walking around the island. Great introduction to the islands and snorkeling!

A great half day that includes a tour by boat of areas to see penguins, blue-footed booby sites, followed by an easy walk in lava outcroppings (well maintained and level pebble path) to visit marine iguanas, see Sally Lightfoot crabs, and white-tipped reef sharks. At the end of this walk, getting into the water to snorkel off the side of... More

Las Tintoreras is one of our two favorite excursions during our visit to the Galapagos (the other is visiting Volcan Sierra Negra). We saw the most wildlife in their natural habitat at Las Tintoreras – Blue-Footed Boobies, Crabs, Iguanas, Pelicans, Galapagos Penguins, Sea Lions, White-Tip Sharks, Sting Rays, Sea Turtles, and Yellow Finches. The terrain is a mix of lava... More
