I am always reticent to do the "touristy" things, especially in a place like Galapagos (especially on Isabela). However, this was a really fun tour and although it's slightly pricey, we found it to be worth it. We snorkeled at the beginning of the tour....More

We went as part of a scuba tour. We went in April, and I recommend at least a rash suit because of the sun. There is no amount of sunblock that would help imo. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife - turtles, fish, iguanas, birds. We...More

The title says it all. This is an amazing location to see marine iguanas...thousands of them. It is very hot on the island so come prepared with lots of water.

We asked the agency if we could rent a wetsuit, but the guy told us that normally people don't use it. When we approached the place where we would be snorkeling everybody in our group started pulling out their wetsuits and for good reason! The...More

We saw thousands of baby marine iguanas and several adults too. The guide pointed out their nests and some old eggshells. There were also lots of Sally Lightfoot crabs. Several sea lions were lying around on the rocks but our favourite experience was watching a...More

Las Tintoreras is a super-short boat ride from Puerto Villamil, and suddenly you are in another world. We hiked for about an hour, and I was amazed at the variety of rock formations, vegetation, lichen and more. The baby marine iguanas were a major highlight--hundreds...More

Great guided tour. Saw blue footed boobies, penguins, herons, and marine iguanas before we got in the water. In the water saw myriad of fishes, seal, turtles. I was surprised to see so much this close to the island .

This was like walking over a foreign planet, the surface was so foreign. There was iguanas everywhere, and although we'd been told to keep a respectful distance, it became a little difficult with them all over the path. There were baby iguanas everywhere, making for...More

We paid about $45 per person. You can pay by credit but they charge extra, about 20%. The person who said there is an ATM is wrong - there is no bank or ATM on Isabela. Best to take lots of cash. The Tintoreras tour is... More
