Five stars more than deserved for one of my favorite villages, during the day until 6pm it remains anonymous, very few people on the streets and it seems almost deserted. Late August: after the sun begins to set and people return from the sea, the small town comes alive: bars and restaurants open, the historic center is closed to traffic and it remains like this for the whole summer until one in the morning. The queen of Apulian festivals is unmissable: knowledge and flavors 17-18 August each year. Many volunteers crowd the center, cooking the most typical Apulian dishes in the street, each stand dedicated to a phase of the dinner. from appetizers to wine, then moving on to first courses, second courses and finally desserts and fruit.
In short, a village to experience more in the evening than during the day, the sea is about 20 minutes away, with the choice of whether to go to Campomarino or San Pietro in B.
