This was a surprising find, slightly off the beaten track, but a lovely walk through the woodland to see the cave carvings.

A good shortish visit. We enjoyed the video which gave some history about the island as well as explaining the rock markings. The markings are, themselves, worth a diversion to see. The valley is very atmospheric - or, it was when we were there in the drizzle.

We were travelling long the North coast of La Palma and decided to stop in here to see what it was all about. Lovely shaded walk through the forest searching for Petroglyphs. The whole caveman experience was very interesting. The rock carvings were a bit thin on the ground but on the whole a good visit for only 2 Euros.... More

A walk through the laurel and pine enchanted forests to view various petroglyphs etched on the entrances to caves. The information boards at each place were good. The signposting is a little hit and miss and we went around twice by accident. Suitable for those less fit or elderly, families with young children. The area has an ethereal ancient feel.... More

Nice small museum about the stone engravings followed by a film explaining the same in your own language. The following walk through the forest is nice and cool. But you realize that the 2€ entrance fee are just too little to keep the park in a good shape. If you can give a little more so maybe they can update... More

On a hot (30 centigrade) summer day, a short 40 minute walk by the shaded paths of La Zarza, through a La Gomera like rain forest with many birds flying over for 2eur pp is a genuine relax. Otherwise, with less demanding weather La Palma offers plenty other even more interesting trails Free Of charge. however, if it makes a... More

Nice place to visit ancient rock engravings of early inhabitants. Also the walk through the forrest is like a fairytale landscape. Note that they are closed on Mondays.

Lush and green on the canarian islands, who would have thought. I have visited Tenerife and Gran Canaria, but never thought I would encounter such a place on these islands. La palma has a lot to offer. There are similar places on the Island like this rainforest, but not as beautiful as this one. And then there is also the... More

Located along the winding road of the northern coast, this 1.5km shaded trail is a peaceful tour along a covered creek bed. Your 2€ entry fee includes access to museum, souvenir shop, video room, snack shop, tour of the trails and rock carvings and access to the restrooms. The museum area is basically one room of displays and information on... More

In La Zarza you will find some old rock drawings in a fairy tale forest. There is also a visiting center whit a little museum. The museum is not that special. You can visit it in 10 minutes. A tourist path guides you to the rock drawings. The best way to enjoy this place is to take a walk in... More
