About
Established by members of the Rosebud Lions in 1967, Rosebud Centennial & District Museum highlights the pioneer and ranching history of the Rosebud, Redland and Beynon area. We were pleasantly surprised at how much was in this museum. It's well setup so a person can see every thing. The lighting is great too which isn't always the case in museums.

We always look through the Museum when we attend one of the theatre shows. It is surprising what new interest we find with our teens, as we tour the great local history.

Stopped by one evening before going to see a play. I thoroughly enjoyed this museum as you could get right up to the exhibits. None were chained off like many other museums have done. There was a big variety of items to check out from a wide variety of times in Rosebud's history.
Highly recommend this museum if you want to learn about the area but the girl at the desk was less than helpful. She just read her book and didn't engage us at all. That was ok though as there was lots to see & read so we were fine.

You just feel great walking into this gem of a museum. The front area is a place to settle down if you like and take a break from the hubbub of the village. Admission is via donation, and they truly deserve your support as they have built a clean, modern space and developed excellent artifact displays. Do plan some to time to check it out! But the history doesn't stop at the door - there are a dozen thoughtful and interesting sign displays throughout this gorgeous little village outlining in a brief and concise way what Rosebud is all about. Bravo to this place for preserving the history and memory of a truly wonderful village.

Predictable old timey collection from rural Alberta, but some interesting stories about characters from the area that you may not know hailed from Drum or Rosebud. Give it 15 minutes.
