I've been on safaris all over Africa and nothing beats Dzanga Sangha for elephant watching. I could spend hours and hours on the Dzanga Bai mirador (elevated platform), overlooking the huge bai (clearing) to watch dozens -- sometimes more than a hundred -- elephants roaming around, digging for salts, blowing bubbles in the puddles, feeding their babies, and playing. On... More

really unique wildlife experience: of course the habituated lowland Gorillas, the massive amount of forest elefants, the Bongo antilopes.... but there is also the mighty Sangha River as part of the Congo Bassin, the rainforest and most of all the people who live there! Going on a nethunt with the Ba´Aka in the dense forest, listening to their music and... More

Dzanga-Sangha National Park offers a unique wildlife watching experience in the Congo Basin, one of the two largest rainforests in the world, with a range of mammals you will see nowhere else. Spending the day at Dzanga Bai is a very rewarding experience. The wildlife viewing is based on observing forest clearings where no trees grow because of a high... More

There are unique experiences to be gained in Dzanga Sangha. Spend the day watching the forest elephants at Dzanga Bai. Track Gorillas. Hunt with the pygmies. A very special place.

If you should ever think about visiting the unique wildlife of the Congo Basin then Dzanga Sangha is a must see. I know the place profesionnally, occupied a senior role there, and know dozens of parks in Africa. In wildlife and overall experience terms this is one the very best. At Dzangha bai you will have a guaranteed view of... More

Visited Dzanga-Sangha in March 2013 just before the Seleka overthrew the government. Sangha Bai is probably one of the best places in the world to see elephants, hundreds can be seen in a few hours as the come to the river bed to drink and get mud baths. The scenary is fantastic and unspoilt, or at least it was in... More
