This is man-made park based on natural spring. There is pool with blue adorable water, waterfall and spring which comes into one more pond. Around swimming zone there is nice area with tables and recreational zones for children. You can do barbecue (so bring food, grill, beer, everything you need), and also you can buy some snacks in small shop inside the park (there is regular burger for ~30 Nis) Good to come for a whole day not to hurry, minimum for 3 hours…

We stopped here on a Saturday for a picnic lunch as part of a 3 bus tour group from the U.S. I’m not a ‘picnic in the park’ type of guy but this wasn’t bad. None of the irritants I would expect to encounter at home were really here. No loud, vulgar music. No substance abuse. No obnoxious kids & their clueless parents. This is one of those places not on the tourist map, it's a well known place for locals though and if you're lucky enough to share in the experience, it will stay in your heart forever. I first came here as a child - jumping in the natural spring pools, sitting under the waterfall and picnicing under the trees. It was a secret oasis. More than 30 years later I returned with newer family members and shared the secret - now they also feel it's a special place. The pools are gorgeous (see pics), the water lovely and warm, with clear vision straight to the bottom. There are fish in the pools and they are curious, they'll swim with you, maybe brush up against you and the smaller ones will nibble at the dry skin on your feet but it just tickles. There is a kiosk on the premises that you can buy various picnic foods or other more substantial foods. There are trees to lay your towels under and some table and chair benches for larger groups. The only downside is the closing time - 5pm, even in the summer when sun goes down several hours later than this and it's still really hot. The kibbutz has taken over ownership and care, therefore they employ life guards and those guys finish at 5pm, so they use army precision to get everyone out in an orderly fashion. It used to be a proper natural park with closing being at sunset, free entry and watermelon vendors selling to families - now there are none. Sad that the kibbutz's agenda has taken priority over the public, when they have the audacity to charge an entry fee but kick you out at 5pm!…

Great national park with 3 big natural pools for all levels of swimmers and children. Picnic areas . Very big green space. Snacks and water sport shop . Very crowded in summer and weekends .

I loved my time swimming at Sachne but must warn people. We spent some time letting the fish nibble at our feet and legs. Later that day I noticed flies were congregating on my legs. The next day I had angry rashes on both my calves. These got worse over the next couple of days. I had to seek medical advice. I had to buy hydrocortisone cream and keep my legs covered. The rashes continued for a week before clearing up.…
