We visited on a Thursday so neither church was open to visitors. Still the square itself is absolutely charming and many of the surrounding residential buildings are in the process of being restored. Absolutely charming.

Isobel la Catolica and I both lived in this wonderful medieval square. Barely modified over the centuries it is a quiet corner of a beautiful village (now a town, I suppose). There's a baker in the corner that roasts suckling pigs then makes the most delicious biscuits. I hope my neighbour, the milkman, is still there and well.

This is a beautiful, bustling, busy town square. The shops are well worth a look: there are places that sell gorgeous local cakes and biscuits, plus all kinds... More
