The coffee farm tour was an absolute delight, thanks to the warm hospitality of Marcelo and his wife. The tour was both informative and enjoyable, offering a fascinating glimpse into the journey from bean to cup. The experience culminated in a lovely coffee and cake, graciously prepared by Marcelo's wife.

The farmhouse itself is like stepping back in time, filled with historical items and stories that Marcelo has carefully preserved from his ancestors. This tour is a perfect blend of history, culture, and, of course, delicious coffee!

The Hacienda itself was built in 1830 by the Portuguese Joaro Pereira da Silva.
It got its name Takuara from the abundance of bamboo growing here.
The beautiful house with blue trim has been well preserved to this day.
The tour is conducted by a 6th generation direct descendant of the founder of the hacienda. He and his wife maintain a home and grow coffee for tourism.
Marcelo told us about his plantation in Portuguese, the translator translated as best he could, but he couldn’t more often, due to the unstable Internet, but we were able to understand most.
Then we were fed fresh biscuits with guava jam and of course we drank local coffee!
Ooooh! For me, this is one of the most delicious drinks. Not bitter, not sour, but with a pleasant velvety taste.
I drank three cups 🙃.
We had a snack in the room under the house, which was previously used as a warehouse and a place of work for slaves.
Yes, they were welcomed too, but I hope now they still get paid for their work 😉.
We brought a pack of elite coffee and coffee cookies with us!

The visit was wonderful. We had a very productive lesson on the history of the Café Valley, in which the Owner's family has an active participation even in the national scene. Also a lesson about coffee growing. With details that although lover of the subject never knew. The totally original casarao encanta is took us around in time. The coffee taken at the farm was so tasty(sweet) that for the first time I took happy without sweetening, not to mention the delicious cookie and cake.

Thank you Marcelo and Cleidi. Esperamis have opportunities to come back.

Beautiful farm from 1830. We were very well received by Marcelo and Cleide.

The visit is super complete and has the difference of addressing the history of Brazil, not only of coffee.

The tasting at the end is delicious.

It was an unforgettable experience

Family farm with a wealth of history and the friendliness of the owner, heir and guide, Marcelo. He told us the entire trajectory of his ancestors, from the inauguration in 1830, until today. We were served delicious coffee and cake. The chat with him and his wife was also very good.

We made the visit as a couple who likes history and enjoys coffee a lot. The Farm is presented by a member of the original family founding the farm. It is praiseful to see the effort to preserve history in that place! A history lesson without a filter! And there is pure rustic coffee and cake at the end!

The visit was very informative, and we especially liked that this was an active coffee plantation, which allowed us to understand Brazilian history a bit. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, especially when we arrived later in the day than planned. They even took us to the pousada where we were staying the night.

Highly recommended.
