This is where Jesus fed 5000. The miracle of provision. The multiplication of the 5 loaves and 2 fishes took place at this very hill. You can actually see where the 5000 were seated and appreciate how it all happened. The bread and the fish multiplied in the disciples hands as they went about feeding the 5000. Praise the Lord!

Unique place with a lot of caves, were people hided from the war during the centuries, all cliff fill of caves as as honeycombs. The caves on almost vertical cliff are the witness of Judea's wars against invaders. The remains of underground structures, walls and passes are seen till today. Except historical background, it is nice and peaceful place, worth to visit. The stunning views is opened from Arbel upper view point (entrance from road 77), when the best view to caves is from lower view point (entrance from road 807). The through-pass from upper to lower points require some physical conditions, and some part of pass is gown directly along the cliff with braces (to be avoided for ones with hear of heights). The pass is not circled, so better employ to cars for lower and upper points). Upper entrance required fee, the lower is free.

Fantastic views. This is the site of various battles which can be learned about. You can enter some of the fortifications and "hidey holes".

Truly breathtaking to be able to view the sites around the Sea of Galilee where Jesus performed the majority of his amazing ministry. Well worth the trip and the walk.

What a breathtaking view of the entire Sea of Galilee region. It is almost like a drone view except you are up there yourself.

So much history comes into full view from just this one spot.

A highlight if the many stops on our tour.

This is a high cliff that overlooks the Valley of the Doves and the Sea of Galilee. The key event here was the Romans trying to kill off all resistance to their rule. The local Jewish folks hid in the caves that are on the cliffs and nearly impossible to access. The Romans finally resorted lowering their soldiers via baskets over the cliffs to be able to attempt to force the Jews out of the caves. This was eventually successful and many Jewish families were killed.
You can see a long way from these cliffs and it is a great place to start a tour of the Galilee.

We enjoyed our visit to Mount Ariel National Park. The mountain too park protects caves once used by Jews who were escaping from the Romans. There is a trail to the summit, and a longer trail down the cliff face where the Jewish people. Views of the Sea of Galilee and the surrounding area are magnificent. Spring wildflowers and green grass covered the hills on our visit.
