I was surprised to read the previous three reviews that were very critical of the bus reservation system. The issue is not the reservation system, but rather that only about 15 people are allowed to reserve spaces on each bus, and there are only two...More

Lake O'Hara is the most beautiful place to hike we've ever been to. Only a few people per day are allowed to visit the area. Not difficult to hike, but with spectacular views.

We were extremely fortunate to secure reservations for the 22 Sept. 2016 0830 shuttle bus to Lake O’Hara Limited Access Hiking Area. For us, reservations opened on 20 April 2016, however, be sure to check the Parks Canada website to find the exact date and...More

The hike around Lake O'Hara is a revelation. The track we did hugs the beautiful lake before climbing steeply up the mountainside to Lake Oesa. It's then a reasonably easy traverse (with a bit of exposure, if you're scared of heights) around the massif, with...More

There was no issue with space. Campers also go up on the bus with their camping equipment.

My suggestion is to call either Parks Canada in the area or the lodge at Lake O'Hara.
