Very nice winery. The poor rating is based on 2 couples. We ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy with our lunch. Lunch was good but at the end of the when the bill came, there was a $10 corking fee!! That was an unexpected charge and just seems like a total rip off to me. We'll cross this winery from our list.

Five of us came for a casual birthday dinner, looking for good food and good wine. Our food—- lite fare—- was really good! The corn salad was gone in a flash and we needed to order more. The steak sandwiches, chicken tenders, hot dog and guacamole were tops.

We ordered several flights—- each a selection of four wines. We then bought two bottles to take home. Also, we bought several Angry Cat sauces. The fun memories will continue until we return.

Very disappointing tasting experience. Their price was outrageous for a 3 wine tasting. We are on the visa infinite program and we are to get 2 for 1 but apparently their website, PEC wine app, Visa infinite do not have their correct pricing. They told us the pricing was $7.50 now for a tasting yet charged us $15 for 2, after the visa infinite. Which they claim $7.50 is half price. Their wine tasting only provided 5 options so not a lot to choose from. When telling them the app said they were closed, the prices vary from 3 online sources, all staff seemed surprised. I would not visit again. Nice venue and good that air conditioned.

No wine tastings were available unlike other wineries in the area (though a pricey pre packaged tasting kit was available). Confusing service - we were told no pours were allowed inside however it was inconsistent as some people did purchase a glass of wine. Nice barn and property.

Really cute place with European style hot dogs. It’s possible to buy a tasting kit which was an amazing idea but the white wine was not cold so we did not enjoy as much as we wanted. Overall pretty good!

The tasting was offered in a unique way with 4 samples in small glass bottles in a box along with the glass for tasting. The outdoor seating was very nice with a great view of the grape vines. There was a food truck there as well.

They have a very interesting and creative way of handling their tastings during this covid time - individual tasting boxes, which you take outside and enjoy at your leisure. It was quite pleasant to sit outside at a table, read up on the wines we were trying, soak in the pleasant country atmosphere, and watch the chickens wandering around! Low key, stress-free. It was a nice way to spend a bit of time during our little getaway. There is a cocktail truck on site as well , which is another piece of interest, and the barn (where you can buy bottles, tasting kits, visit restroom, etc.) is taking all the necessary pandemic precautions. I quite enjoyed the Riesling and there was a Spiced White that was interesting, though made me think of Christmas!

Now I must say that we arrived at 5pm just as they were closing up and so we didn’t visit the winery. But right behind them in their picnic park area is Old Salt Cocktails and a sausage grill. Dave the owner of Old Salt was nice enough to chat with us and pour us some drinks; their gin mule was fantastic and refreshing, and he spent some time just hanging out and chatting with us. Beautiful back garden picnic area and nice place to relax.

Outstanding -- we almost skipped it due to the poor reviews, but it was the highlight of the six wineries we visited on Closson Rd. The grassy knolls, the idyllic atmosphere, the epic cocktails (try 'Sunday Service'). It was just what we needed. We loved it so much.

On August 1, 2020 we went there and between the five of us purchased two tasting kits at $20. each. Four very little bottles containing samples supposedly matching the wine on sale in the store. We sat outside and slowly tasted each sample many times. Three of the samples were so so, not worth the price the were asking for but we all agreed that the Riesling was very good, well balanced with a long fruity aftertaste and better than most Riesling found at the LCBO. We purchased many bottles.
The next day we headed to a friendly dinner and brought a bottle of this Riesling. To our horror, what was in that bottle was not at all what we tasted the day before. It was bitter, tasted like boiled Retsina with a horrible aftertaste. Brief, a very bad wine. Since then we found that the other bottles we purchased that day were all as bad as the first one.
The Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards is a big disappointment and we don't recommend them.
