Harwood is a 100% Solar-Powered winery in Hillier, Prince Edward County, Ontario, producing internationally acclaimed wines. Every visit is a tour because our Tasting Room is inside the production area of the winery, which is located in the centre of all our vineyards. Chair, RV and bike friendly. Electric car changing for customers.

We were driving by and saw the sign so stopped in. Very glad we did. There were some wonderful wines here, great quality at reasonable prices. The host was knowledgeable and made sure we had a good tasting experience. We definitely took some favourites to go.

We visited this winery as part of a wine tour and were delighted with the service and the wine! We enjoyed the pairings and charcuterie and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The cherry on the cake was the custom chalk signs they made for our Mum’s 80th birthday and our Parent’s 56th Anniversary. Just delightful!

We have passed this winery many times. However, based on reviews,, we decided to try it.
Harwood will now be one of our go to spots while in PEC. Good service. Had a couple of flights of wine. Walked away with bottles of very good wine.

Took our son and daughter-in-law on their first winery tour, this was their favourite in Prince Edward County.
Value for money on tastings is the best in the county.
Wines are right up there in taste as well.
Must try the charcuterie board as well.

A newer winery but definitely worth a visit...very knowledgeable friendly staff made it a pleasure to stop into...prices are excellent and tasting is very inexpensive here

This was our 2nd stop on our PEC wine tour. We were seated on a back patio overlooking the vineyards. The wine was ok but very disappointed and put off with serving the tasting flights in shot glasses. I understand with Covid they were very cautious and clearly were sanitizing but every other winery offered wine glasses. They also provided a pairing plate with cookie and cheeses, which was nice. Lots of waste though as each individual one was served in a paper plate.

The wine was very sweet. We tried the sparkling rose and the cab sauv, and I dumped both. The sparkling rose is said to be off dry, but I would disagree with that. And the cab sauv tasted like cough syrup. The woman serving us clearly did not care about the business or us, she didn’t seem excited at all. I would not recommend

The Harwood Vineyards were our first stop of several on our tour of Prince Edward county vineyards. I believe it is the first one you stumble on when touring the County from the west.
This vineyard promotes itself as being totally solar powered. There are a minimum of structures on the property the main one being a dispaly building. There are two tasting areas , one outside of the display building and one in front of the fermenting and ageing shelter.
The winery offers tasking flights with a small amount of cheese and cookies. The price of the tasting flights ($6 or 8?) is discounted if you make a purchase of wine.
We enjoyed our tastings and made a purchase. It was a worthwile visit.

Tastings were held outside on picnic tables due to COVID. Reasonably priced tastings and wine. Husband found one he really liked. The young lady that served us seemed very nerves in explaining the wines to us but very nice. They have a nice little shop where you can buy cheeses, gifts and wine.

I highly recommend people stop and try the variety of really good wines that Harwood produces. Their staff are amazing. I had a wonderful experience ordering a mixed case of wine from John. Yesterday I visited with some friends for a tasting. The woman who assisted up was extremely knowledgeable and fun. I will be going back again and again, and I will certainly be ordering more online as well.
